I think that Google is fine the way it is. I think that the way they are describing Google accessing all of your information and combining it is weird but I guess that's how it is if you're going to put your information on the internet. I personally am not going to let it do that, I'm just not going to login to Google because that's creepy.

I like the ability of google to reach my phone and tell me how far i am from a certain location. I enjoy the simplicity of google, and have very few issues with them accessing my personal information for advertising. My only concern is that somehow, somebody's personal information could leak out, but that's yet another reason to keep your personal life off of the web.

Brandon Rodriguez Per. 1 said...

i don't think the change is needed, because nobody likes adds even if there are in your interests and i don't like that they can access all of your personal info, Even if they keep it put away.

Honestly, it freaks me out that Google is able to get into my phone. And it's not like im able to just log out of it and my phone, because my phone doesn't work if I'm not logged on. Also, I don't think it's right that they can take what I search on Google and attach it to my identity. I always search up stupid stuff on Google, just for fun. So I think this whole changing thing is dumb.

I believe google is fine the way it is just as mostly everyone else. I have a setting on my computer set so google will not change much for me. I do like the pictures ,if anyone noticed how they change each day, I do like that. But I do not like how google is apparently going to combine all of our information I think thats just really odd. I never really log into google although I do have gmail I only get on for school and do not log in to google on my own. I search on google and do other things but now do not trust google with my information.

I don't feel that these changes that Google is making will really effect us much. It sounds basically the same as it was before I like google for research, so I still support it and I don't find anything wrong with what they are doing. If you don't like it, don't use google.

I like google how is it now. I understand that they need to make money and the internet how it is now is only going to be great for so long. Now they are making laws and rules about the internet. I like how goggle only follows you if you are logged into your google account so, you can choose for google not to follow you.

In my opinion, I think that it is a little bit odd that Google can access so much information about me by scanning personal emails and such, but oh well. I enjoy Google overall, but I don't want Google to dig too deep into my personal information. I typically don't log into Google when I'm just searching something, so it won't really pertain to me anyway.

Kyle Pheanis said...

I like google overall. Im a little shaky at the fact that they can access so much information about me but if its happening to everyone i dont think it really matters. I dont sign in everytime i use google so its not even a big deal to me.

Google is perfectly fine the way it is right now and I really don't understand why they are trying to change it. Personally, I think it's evading my personal information when it looks at conversations I am having with a friend. It's a limit to everything and that might be it; the internet is getting way too personal for me now. Maybe if you can agree or disagree to Google checking your email, that could be a different story. I don't know, maybe people and companies need to mind their own business for a change and keep everything the same. I haven't seen anyone complaining about Google or anything associated with Google, so "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." That's all I gotta say.

Matt Current P1 said...

I don't usually login to Google at my house anyways, so I'm not worried about my personal information being looked at. It's a great tool and great resource but I don't like the fact that it can scan over you personal information. But as I sais, I don't log in. It's not a big deal to me.

I think this change is very interesting. I think it is a nice idea that Google can remind me that I have a meeting. I am sure that this technology could lead to very good things in the future and is a good start for this. Of course, no one is going to like the idea of targeted ads, but we don't really have a choice; if we didn't have ads, we wouldn't have Google.

Candace Lamb said...

If this does happen to Google, i will probably never log into Gmail. I feel it kinda, weird that they will be able to acess so much of my life, and know so much about me. I do not trust the internet that much to have them know, so much. I've always played it overly safe while on the internet especially Facebook, I always watch what I do and what I say on there. I'll still use google because everyday i use Google, but i'll probably never log into Gmail for that reason.

Whitley Beachler said...

I like google how it is. I use google chrome and have a gmail account for important things like college but other than that i don't use it. I think it's ridiculous that facebook and google are doing all this just for ads. I mean, i understand the need for money for the companies..., but still. Google was simple and easy, now it does have improvements, but they are pretty minor.

I heard this on the news a few days back and it concerns me a little. I don't like the idea of Google being able to see my private information because that's the whole point isn't it? I thought that Google was fine the way it was, but obviously the company didn't. I will most likely use Google less because of this concern. However, I like the fact that the searches that I make on Google can help them find my searches more accurately. My mom and step-dad were very concerned about Google changing and they looked up how to block the change from my account because I do have and use an Android phone, which is part of Google.

I like Google the way it is and I wouldn't like it to go through my emails or personal information. I do like that it would have the ability to reach my phone and tell me where I am or how close I am to something. I choose not log into google at my house so I don't have to worry about them reaching my personal information. I think they should keep google simple.

I like Google the way it is. I think that Google is really helpful. However I think that Google shouldn't be able to get into your personal information, but if you are putting your personal information on the internet then you are putting it out there though you may not know but it is there for anyone to read.

macyfaulkner1 said...

If this happens to google I will not bevery happy. I like google how it is. Also I wouldn't want it to have all of my information and my location. That if kind of a scary thought to me. Google should stay how it is. It should not be able to know all about people's lives.

Alisha Ferguson said...

i dont like the idea of google changing. I like it the way it is. I dont want google to be able to get in my phone and put adds up. its just wierd. I like google how it is and i think it should just stay the way it is.

I think some of the features included in the new privacy policies are great such as the notifications google will be able to send. I think that the privacy policies are not much different than they have been. People already trust sites like Facebook and Google with plenty of personal information. This is no different. whatever people want to stay private should not be posted or entered into a social site such as one of these.

Jason Gibbs Period 1 said...

i like google how it is now.i kinda feel like it may be an invasion of privacy. but i will not allow google to do the on my personal computer.

Anonymous said...

I'm fine with that, I don't have Google on my phone and only login to post here so it doesn't affect me all that much. It sounds like a cool idea for me people who are always running late like my mom, and as long as your information is unable to be accessed by individuals I think it's fine.

fotistperiod1 said...

I believe that google is fine the way it is but in a few years I think they should upgrade/make changes but not until it is completely necessary. I do like the abilities google has like google maps, how it can navigate u to a certain destination, and of course the search engine itself. I dislike the fact that some people's personal info can be leaked out which is something that our society should not tolerate.

Haley Kroger period 1 said...

I kind of have mixed feelings towards google's changes. I pretty much use google everyday and I love it! I don't mind them knowing about everything I search because I don't look up anything bad and I have nothing to hide. However, I don't like it knowing all my personal information and my location. I feel like it's a big envasion in privacy and potentially dangerous if my information fell into the wrong hands.

bhickman1 said...

I personally like google just the way it is and I do think it is a tad bit creepy that google and other websites could access personal information just by logging into your account . There are aspects that I like , for instance that they can tell me exactly where I am and what's near me just by my phone. I do have a gmail account that I use for school and college but I don't ever log into it at home so I don't have to worry about that. Hopefully google stays the way it is , a lot of people enjoy it !

i like google the way it is,its simple and it has a lot of easy to get information and i fell like they are trying to complicate things. i like how google is now and dont want it to change.

A. Wright Per 1 said...

i dont really think this will effect everybody, only the people who use google plus for their main emailing site and if they actively use google for personal blogs and stuff. people shouldnt be putting things they dont want leaked on the internet anyways so i dont see this as a threat to me. i dont ever put anything risky on the internet and i would never put something personal into such a big site such as google. it is creepy though how they can track you.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the old Google and I don't really think that they should change it. Yeah, it's useful if it reminds you about a meeting. But odds are, you probably have something else to remind you about it that you actually set up. I think that it's an invasion of privacy for Google to scan someone's emails just to put ads on their page. Regardless if it's what they like or not, nobody likes ads blocking up their page at all.

JacobRiceperiod1 said...

I believe that the new terms that Google will be providing are pretty cool. Even though what they are adding really doesn't change much of how Google works, it would not affect anything that someone would have already been doing on the old version of Google. Many people already put there personal information on social sites like Facebook so I don't see what the difference is if Google tries the same thing.

So far, I've despised the changes to google, such as when they combined with Youtube. Although its for convenience, I find the fat that everything is linked is very annoying because I don't like to have everything linked to one single email. As I visit more sites, and link google with more things, I'm going to receive more spam emails that kind of thing gets really annoying as you accumulate more.

P. Stephan said...

I think change is always good. This technology is no exception. So even though some people think this may an invasion of a persons personal information, but we could also use it for all the advantages it offers. Over all i think this does more good than bad.

Ravensimmonspd1 said...

I like Google and think that they are making the changes because they have or best interest in mind. Reminding us about events and putting all of our information in one place seems like it would be really helpful. The ads could help too because they are about our interests. My only concern is information leaking, but that could happen on any social website.

CaseyMays08 said...

I believe that the changes Google made are good. I feel like what they have added however doesn't change how Google necessarily works. I like google the way it is, simple and easy to access.

Joe Lietz said...

I like google the way it is. They shouldnt change google because it is very simple to use the way it is.

I have mixed feelings about this. I personally don't like whatthey are doing and are trying to do. The fac that they have all your personal information and can get into your phone and be able to read your messages and be able to send you reminders about personal things is totally creepy to me. It is a complete invasion of privacy and I don't think it should be allowed. But on the other hand, if your lost and need directions, it can know your location and help you get where you need to go.

I don't want google to change. I don't even like the way it is now, because I was so used to the settings it had before. Honestly I don't use google for stuff like telling me how close I am to a place or anything more than a search engine. I like to learn something like facebook or google, then I prefer not to have to learn it again.

I like google the way it is right now. It's very simple and easy to access what you're looking for with it. I don't think they need to change it up and make it more advanced because that will just make it more complicated.

I think it's fine the way it is really I mean I use google for everything and I don't think that they are trying to access your information like that I mean it's helpful. If I ever need anything I always instantly go to Google. It's an established search engine that is world renowned and I use close to everyday and I have no problem with what they're doing.

If the government wants to look at every single persons information through google, good luck to them. The government is medeling in everything else and why is it a big surprise that they want to do this. this project is probably another left-wing-nut-job that will get turned down. I could care less about it. What happened to books?
