I can understand how an experience that brings people out of the stress of work and nto a more personal experience with each other can make them better acquainted and more friendly. I agree that this would improve working relations and get more teamwork done. However I will not be making a bracket.

I do believe that march madness can be good for the economy since it gets people hyped up and psyched for something shortly after they get their tax returns and its not something they have to stress about unless they are a gambler. It is a stimulater to the economy and to the people. I however do not participate since I don't really understand basketball so I will not be making a bracket.

i agree that march madness is good for the economy because it causes people to spend money and that stimulates the economy. I agree with this because spending money helps the economy grow. Yes I will complete a bracket i think kentucky has what it takes to win it all.

March Madness can be good for the economy, because it brings people closer together. People come to together and get excited about it, because since it is right after tax returns they do have the money to spend. Having more money can always make things more fun. I am not really a basketball fan, so I will not be making a bracket, I may never make a bracket because it does not interest me.

I think March Madness is good for the economy because it causes people to spend money and spending money is good for the economy. I will not be making a bracket because I don't watch much basketball, but I do think UK will win.

I believe this is a very good idea. This relieves workers of stress and can improve production. This is also a team building activity. I will be making a bracket and I believe Duke will win!

I think March Madness is good for the economy because it gets money circulating and spending money is good for the economy. I am not going to participate in March madness because i do not watch football.

Although I don't really care too much about March Madness, I do think that it can be good for our economy. People are stressed out enough as is, and these games bring a little friendly competition that keeps people enthusiastic. I will not be making a bracket, but I definitely know a few people who were so excited to make a bracket.

March madness is good for the economy because people will spend their tax return money and stimulate the economy by buying more from stores in preparation of the games. I do agree because there are a lot of people that have parties during march madness and even more that gamble on the games. I will not complete a bracket because basketball doesn't interest me.

Destiny Hammitt said...

March Madness seems like a good idea for me. It brings everyone closer together. It should be helpful to the economy because people are getting not only excited but are also spending a lot of money. I will not be participating in this because I just do not know or understand basketball and have no interest in it myself. But I do believe it is good for the economy.

Krista House said...

March madness has a lot of potential to boost the economy because people throw parties and buy snacks and decorations and other things that can help. The more money people are comfortable to spend, the more stable the economy becomes.

I agree that March madness is good for the economy because it makes people spend money and helps the economy run smooth. I'm not going to make a bracket because I don't care for basketball very much.

In the article they say that March Madness is a good way to get employee bonding. They say if you accept the inievatable ditraction and work on team chemistry it'll lead to a better future. Some use it as an incentive. They create teams and whoever does the best gets a 2 hour lunch to watch there favorite game. I do agree with this because if you like who you work with doing a job is a lot easier and less stressful.I did complete a bracket and I KNOW my North Carolina TarHeels will win it all.

I agree that March Madness is a tournament that my not have a very big impact on the economy, but does improve it slightly. Ticket sales bring in money to companies and organizations that sponsor the stadiums, teams, and the tournament. I agree that spending money improves the economy because that's what the economy is depends on. I think that Kentucky will win it all if they don't mess up.

I do think that March Madness is good for the economy because people will want to spend the money they just got from tax returns. Many people are going to buy tickets to the event or have their own parties at their house which they buy a bunch of food for. I am not making a bracket because I don't watch sports.

Candace Lamb said...

I believe march madness is good for the economy. People go out and buy party supplies and junk food for the games and also buy new jerseys for their new favorite teams and smaller jerseys for this kids so they b apart of the madness! I do not think it'll change the whole economy but I do believe it can help it in many ways!

Tiffani Smallwood said...

I agree that March Madness can bring people out of stress because it gives them something to look forward to and they can get closer to friends and family. I am not very into this event however because I don't like watching certain sports on television. A sport like basketball to me is more enjoyable when you are there at the game personally. I will not be making a bracket either.

I believe that March Madness is good for the economy because it causes people to buy things, and that stimulates the economy. People buy tickets, team items, souvenirs and other things. I will be completing a bracket. UK is winning everything! UK ALL THE WAY!

March Madness can be a really distracting time in the office because everybody wants to watch and hope their team wins. But if a boss uses March Madness to his or her advantage, instead of blocking sports websites, it could lead to more productivity. The winning sales group may get to pick one or two games to watch during March Madness, but they would have to compete for most sales to win. It can be used as a good idea I think. I will be making a bracket but I haven't filled it out yet.

i think that it is a good thing for the economy because people spend alot of money on it, i agree with it because it helps get the economy on track, and no i wont be filling one out

Vada Edwards said...

Well, March madness is good for the economy because of all of the money it brings in and how fast it's brought in. I actually like this because it's helping us out of recession if you think about it. Oh, yeah I have made a bracket and I have Kentucky going all the way. Why wouldn't Kentucky win it all; they are the best team in their conference and in my opinion, the country. Only problem I see that would hurt them is their inexperience, besides that I'm very confident in them winning the national chapionship.

I believe March Madness could be good for the economy because people take it pretty serious and spend money on different things. People will spend money on parties and the companies that sponsor the teams and stadiums will earn more money. March Madness does not interest me at all.

I do believe that March madness is a good thing for the economy. No matter what social class or your economic situation is you can enjoy march madness and get involved. Also march madness takes place after people are getting their tax returns which means people have more money they are willing to spend. During march madness people are buying more merchandise and supporting their teams by buying tickets . Also a lot of betting goes on in this time so that cirulates money. So, all in all I do this march madness is good for the economy !

JacobRiceperiod1 said...

I believe that march madness can be good for not only the economy but it can also bring people out of the stressful times of the year. It's something to look forward to. I agree that it helps the economy because it influences individuals to purchase thing which helps the economy. I will not be making a bracket this year.

I agree that March Madness can be helpful to the economy. It helps bring people together and gives them something to talk about for awhile. I don't really care for basketball that much though, so I will not be making a bracket.

I do agree that March Madness boots the economy because its gets money circulating. its right after tax season & it is something that gets the community together and its exciting. in the article it said the amount that employees lose every year but I still believe that its the person's choice & bets. I don't follow march madness other than what I hear from my friends & if I did know enought about it I would complete one & place bets

I think it's good for the economy, people can go spend their money from tax returns. It also helps as a stress reliever from work. I won't be keeping a bracket since I just found out march madness exists and I know nothing of basketball, let alone the teams competing in it.

Ravensimmonspd1 said...

I think that March Madness isreally helpful to tbe economy because a lot people spend big bucks on food and party things for getting together with friends to watch the games. I think that it's fun for people who are big basketball fans, and it's fun to see how people get into it. I personally won't do a bracket because I'm not that interested in March Madness, but it's fun flute other people.

I think that March Madness can help the economy because of so many people coming together and buying things in preparation for the games. Many people have parties and this help the economy. But, I do understand that it could be bad because workers can get distracted with watching it on there phones while at work. Yes I enjoy basketball but I will not be filling out a bracket.

I believe that March Madness could really improve the economy. A lot of people go to stores and buy big bulks of party supplies and food because big basketball fans all get together and have a party type gathering every week with their friends and family and watch the games. So, to me, this could definately improve the economy. Also, I will not be filling out a bracket. Personally, I do not like basketball and even if I did, I don't think I would fill out a bracket because it seems like a waste of time to me.

I think that March Madness is important for workplaces, because at the article said, its huge for team building. Also, I can believe a slight loss in production, however the incentives some companies are offering are ingenious and are sure to boost production rather than inhibit it. I am not making a bracket due to not watching much basketball at all this year. Also, brackets and bidding moves a lot of money into the economy, estimates are 190 billion if I remember right!

i personally do not care for basketball. I do love baseball. March Madness is the time spring training for MLB starts! i always watch it with my girlfriend and we cant wait for it. Baseball is America's past time. its as american as cherry pie, corn fields, the bad lands, driving through Indiana and trucks. Its God Given.

The article talks about how the bonding experience of March Madness can boost morale and enthusiasm at work. I believe this is true but I also agree that when this is occurring there is a loss of productivity at the workplace. It's a matter of if the workers will continue to work hard from said morale boosts. A business that wanted UK to win will obviously be upset if UK looses. I think it is specific to the fans and the business. I will not be completing a bracket.

I am indifferent about March Madness. I think it's a ploy for the basketball industry to make a TON of money, by advertising and overpricing complementary goods and services, because they know that people are going to buy them. I didn't fill out a bracket, because I really don't know or care about basketball.

In my opinion March Madness is good for the economy. People throw parties to watch games and they spend a lot of money. People spend money! That is good for our economy!
