This article can be used for April 6th.

Do you agree with this proposal? What does this have to do with economics?

I think that its a good thing to test teens for depression. The reason is because teen do get stressed out alot with school, peer pressure, parents fighting, and things like that so yes getting tested for depression should be a thing that everyone does.

I Think That It's A Good Thing To Test Us Teens On Depression. We Do Get Stressed A Lot About Different Things, I Know I Have Before. This Could Not Only Help Teens But Everyone Because Being Depressed Isn't Fun, It Sucks :(

i believe that this is something that would really help teens there is a lot of suicide attempts that teenage people do because the depression drives them mad. so having teens get test is really good.

for economics that means more money is being paid by someone because the equal heathcare for mental and physical illness. um i think its alittle crazy to check everyone because alot of things get better with time its also not good to put kids on medicine so early for issues that could go away all teens will be stressed its like a requirement but i dont think that means we should hope them up on drugs. i also think that if there was a real issue for a teen it would be noticed we dont need to test everyone.

I feel that this is a good way to help teens out. Some kids struggle with depression and need to be tested on it. There is so much stress and pressure now than ever before! everyone has stress in their lives that probably needs handled better than they are handling it.

This "sounds" like a good idea. but ask any kid in our school if they have ever been depressed. i guarantee they will say yes. we all do. its not because there is something wrong with us. its the fashion magazines, sports professionals, super models. Itd be a waste of money to test us teenagers to find out we are ALL depressed. And is there much they can do about it. We have to start at the things that make us feel "un-perfect" why are those things around. let along IN OUR OWN SCHOOLS!

There's such a stigma with mental health, especially the ones seeking help. Being treated for a mental illness makes you looked down upon by the society. You are "crazy" or something along those lines. Many teenagers often have to try to mask their feelings so they won't appear like a "freak" to others who have never felt the horrible way they do. So forcing mental health checks is a great idea to me. It could save countless lives to the tragic act of suicide.

Its a very good thing to test teens for depression because these days its hard to tell. Many kids can hide it through school activities and such. So its never wrong to be precautious and double check

I think it's a great idea to have mental health checks because that way you can help a teenager out that is having problems or has depression. Many teens are too scared to get checked because they are afraid they will get looked down upon, but this way everyone gets checked out and those that need help can get that help.
