wow $100 trillion banknote and its only worth $300 American dollars! This article shocked me quite a bit on the fact that Zimbabwe is just falling apart, since the last i have heard about them this past summer. This article makes you think twice about criticizing America's economic troubles.

I can't believe that the inflation is 89.7 sextillion percent! That's a ridiculous number. I was also surprised that 80% of the population is in poverty. I would much rather be in a recession in America than be in Zimbabwe right now!

I cant believe that the $100 trillion banknote in Zimbabwe is only worth $300 in America. It's crazy that the billion dollar notes arent even enough for workers to withdraw their monthly salaries. I thought that America was in trouble but Zimbabwe's situation is MUCH worst!

First there was a billion dollar note and now a trillion dollar one. That's pretty insane. Not only does Zimbabwe have terrible inflation, they have 80% of their population in poverty and people dying left and right due to terrible sanitation. Zimbabwe definitely has some rebuilding to do.

Here, we are, ignorant Americans thinking our situation is so bad. But over there in Zimbabwe, 1.3 million people have aids, 80% is in poverty, 5 million are on food aid, and trillion dollar bills are passed out, which is only equivalent to $3oo US dollars. It's pretty shocking when you think about it. Let's hope that American never gets that way..

$100 Trillion & Its Only Worth $300American Dollars Thats Ridiculous. Americans Always Think We Have It Bad, Little Do They Know There Is Always Somebody Worse Off. The Inflation Rate Is 89.7 % Sextillion Could It Get Any Worse?

i would just like to have one personally :) I think that coming up with another banknote worth more money isn't going to work as they must obviously know. the one thing that shocked me was that they had just introduced a new banknote worth a billion or so a week ago, and THAT wasn't enough.
crazy people.

Zimbabwe's deep economic troubles are not unexpected. President Mugabe has been driving this country into the ground from the day he took over as their leader. Military coups, lack of concern for common welfare, and senseless fighting with neighboring nations have left Zimbabwe a barren wasteland. Many don't realize that Zimbabwe is one of the richest countries when it comes to natural resources and should have absolutely no problem sustaining a good economy. This ridiculous inflation is just another example of Mugabe's lack of leadership ability.

That's so crazy. I never knew Zimbabwe is in really in a huge economic disaster. The country is under Mugabe's leadership and based on the country's situation, he is truly a bad leader. According to the article, Zimbabwe is getting worse. The percent of poverty went up, the health and sanitary is even worse, and the economy is tragic. Someone really needs to do something about this now before Zimbabwe will be gradually erased on the face of this earth.

It really gives you a look at what a "bad" economy really looks like. It is very unfortunate though that their highest bill is worth so little.

it is crazy to think it is only worth $300 u.s. dollars. and to hear they have 80% poverty made me grateful to live here in America. I do think what is happening in America is crappy and its not good, but we should be thankful to live here.

The fact that the note is only worth 300 in us dollars is crazy. I mean we always here about U.S. inflation rate but 89.7 sextillion % wow.

I was shocked to see that zimbabwe is in such bad shape. It gives you an idea of a bad economy and what we should try not to do.

It's unreal to think that all the money in Zimbabwe is only worth $300 dollars here in America. After reading this I really grateful that I live here but I really for bad for the people in Zimbabwe.

Compared to this economy the U.S. is in great shape. Eighty percent poverty is something we cannot even comprehend. If we ever end up in this situation then we can start to panic.

America is doing GREAT! after reading this article thats how i feel, extremely lucky to be in the US right about now. 89.7 SEXTILLION say what? insane, ridiculous, outrageous, horrifying.....number to me. I hope this country gets help before they reach the quadrillionth bank note.
it is no surprise to me that 80% of the people are in poverty. actually, i would expect more to be in poverty with that type of bill circulating.

It's hard to believe that a country can go that far down in an economic hole. I just hope us Americans never getTHAT bad! And 100 trillion being worth only 300 dollars here IS pretty rediculous!
