i honestly dont know a lot about this bailout. i dont think we should completely bail them out, i dont think that is really our job. i think the government should just help them enough to get back on their feet so they can help themselves get back to where they need to be

I think that bailing them would cause a lot of problems because there are a lot more businesses that failied so why should just some of them get helped out, even though they do help out with jobs, and such. It is a very difficult decision.

i agree with cailin, the government should partially help; not completely. it's not really the place of the government to do that, it's not really sending a good message. "if you get in trouble, we'll bail anyone out!"

i do agree with what they had to say also. as i said in another blog bailing out different things is just going to put us more and more behind. everybody just needs to worry about there part in business and not get involved with others

Personally, I think that they just just let the big 3 fail. This situation has gotten nearly out of hand. its better to cut it off so it cant do anymore damage. then again i dont know how we would do without them fords.

Apparently we should let the big 3 fail. Bailouts are only going to push us further back and that definitely not where we want to go, right? Time heals everything.

I know these are big businesses to be failing but if the government helps out these businesses then what will the little ones say that have already gone under? The government may have a full uprising on their hands if they choose to rescue the big businesses, but failed to save the little ones. To completely bail the big businesses out would be too much help for them in my opinion but maybe the government could help them get back on the right track.

I can see both sides here. Seeing as the auto industry is quite important to our economy, bailing them out would make sense, but after the $700 billion bailout, where does it end? And its interesting to note that, as the article said, some airlines that filed for bankruptcy a while back ended up okay later on.

As i said about GM i do not think we should let these companys fail they are a huge part of our economy and employee millions of people. I think the government should step in and take some action.

The bailout was ineffective essentially to the fact that the government was careless about the amount of money given to what companies. Not all companies would need the same amount of money, and the excess money was used inappropriately, whereas the government could have used the surplus in a different area where it could have been more effective. The auto industry would boost our economy dramatically if given the necessary amount to get the corporation back on their feet. So, in conclusion, the government could have just given the necessary amount of help for the companies that would make the most dramatic, positive effect for the economy.
