Verizon unveils iPhone

I wonder how many of us carry cell phones? If you do, are you shopping for a new phone? Verizon Wireless unveiled three new cell phones on Wednesday for the holiday season, including a high-end handset named Voyager that will compete with Apple Inc's iPhone. Will you join the craze and purchase this one or is the old one good enough?

I think the new Voyager by LG will be a competitor to the iphone by apple. however it is not the same, i think it is better and will attract more users beacause the keypad, which the iphone lacks. We all will see this holiday how things turn out for verizon. I personally use the verizon carrier and am pleased with their service and quality.

this voyager phone is expected to be better than the iphone because LG can learn from apple's mistakes. i personally like that there is a touch screen and a keypad with a non-touch screen. it is way better and i wish ihad one.

I think that the 3 new phones LG is putting out will eventually gross a bigger crowd then what the IPhone did because of the expensive price tag on the IPhone. If Verizon releases these phones close to Christmas people would want to buy them more than the IPhone because they are newer, have close to the same features and maybe even more, and it will be a good alternative phone to get for all the people who already have Verizon as their cell phone company.

although i hate verizon with a passion (because i dont have it and it is such a better network than at&t) their new LG phones will hit big. prices are better, and the size of the network verizon has will only help sell the new phones. like isaiah said, they learned from the mistakes of the iPhone. i am not a fan of the keypad addition, but whatever. good job stealing someone else's idea LG.

I think the new Voyager phone will be a big hit, because some people I know have gotten the iphone, and they said that it didn't even have text... all the stuff that phone can do, and it doesn't even have text messaging. Hopefully the LG company can learn from this and make it better and more efficient. I have Cingular/AT&T and I wish I had Verizon. They have better plans and better phones.

No doubt in my mind this will be huge! It has all the great features of the iphone but with a better keypad.
I knew some other wireless network would jump in to this idea. Its huge and being the second to do this they can make sure they don't make the same mistakes that apple did.

I think that I agree with most people that commented. The Voyager will be a big deal and I'm sure a lot of people will be wanting these.

I think tho Voyager will be a big hit especially during the upcoming holiday season. I have Verizon and I would love to have one of these phones. The technology seems amazing and i think that is what will draw in most people....this will definitely be on my christmas list!!!!

The Voyager no doubt is an excellant phone, superior in most areas than the iphone, but I don't think it will be successful. I can name at least 5 mp3 players that are better than an ipod in every way, but people don't buy them. They buy Ipods for the name and the reputation they have. Apple was able to carry that reputation to the Ihpone and with their pcs, as well as their new itv. People aren't going to drop the iphone. They didn't drop their ipods for better stuff, they won't for the Voyager. The only people that will get a Voyager are the people already with Verizon, it isn't going to attract new customers like the Iphone did.

Voyager by LG will without a doubt be a great addition to verizon's already growing market of cell phone sales. Just as everyone else has mentioned it has learned form the mistakes of the iPhone which has allowed its efficency to surpass, but then again the iPhone is is still an iPhone and...well...knock-offs aren't like the "real thing". Price doesn't seem to me as an issue, seeing as someone will pay 500 bucks for an iPhone.

*i actually looked into some of the other phones verizon will be offering this upcoming season; i am very excited about updating :]
