Sony is a Japanese company!!!!!! It shouldn't surprise me this much yet it does. Oh yeah it is probably a good idea to help toyota by managing the cost of the yen because toyota has enough to worry about.

This article is saying that the value of the dollar is lower than japenese currency. there might just be more money being made in both countries which is lowering the value of both currencies.

The U.S. dollar is lower than Japanese currency. This is probably due to the economic problem the U.S. is facing. Or it could be due to the fact the United States is producing so much money, that it's loosing it's value. But as far as economies go, Japan is definitely ahead of the United States.

I think its sad our dollar is lower than the japanese curency, but that's how it is when your country is struggling economically, I believe that if the roles had been reversed, we would have the more valuable currency, and I believe that we will eventually in the future, so time will tell :)

bkueker5 said...

the currency in Japan's money compared to our counties dollar bill is weak...It seems we have been spitting out too much money that it has caused inflation and now we are paying the price for it. I believe if we make a turn around and start to undo our big flow of money being produced, then we can start to see an increase in the dollar bill again.

This article is talking about how the value of a dollar is a lot ower than the japanese currency. This might be because of the economy problems in the u.s. right now, but this honestly doesnt surprise me.

bgrizzle4 said...

The dollar is now lower than the japanese currency. This is most likely caused by the recession and economic problems the United States has been currently facing. I believe our currency will rise once our economy is fixed.

tscott4 said...

The article is talking about how the value of the American dollar, is lower than that of the Japanese curency. The value is being lowered because we think there is being more money made in both of the countries.

emarcum2 said...

America's dollar is lower than the japanese currency. This could be due to the recession or just the fact that money has to be backed up by gold. Which i believe is stupid, money is paper and you can print off as much as you want so why do we need gold to make the american dollar what it is.

jmccune2 said...

the dollar is worth less than yen?
i think that's crazy.
the dollar is crashing, and i'm sure it's due to the recession and inflation.
it's sad though, our economy doing horribly.

Japan is doing it's own companies a great favor but it's helping us out a lot more!!! The value of the dollar is falling against all currencies. We need all the hep we can get. Its good that the Japanese Gov.. stepped in to solve a potentially awful problem, for once GO JAPAN!!!!

katy02 said...

the japenese government is doing so much better then the US right now that the value of the dollar is lower then japenese money. thats extreamly due to the recession of the US right now.

This article is saying that the value of the american dollar is much lower than the Japanese currency. There might possibly be more money being made in both countries, which is in turn, lowering the value of both currencies.

This article is about the American dollar being lower than the Japanese currency. And now because Japan is doing better and our economy is still crap the dollar bill is less than what is worth.

phillipbrandon4 said...

This article is basically about the value of two nations currencys, and how currently the Japanese currency is appreciated more right now. This could be due to a wide range of things, I.e. right now our economy is sluggish, or the amount of dollars printed in each country either way our money is worth less.

mhurr2 said...

this article is talking about the value of the us dollar falling below the value of the japanese yen i believe this is a bad thing an the dollar will continue to lose its value.

Dani said...

This article is about how the US dollar is currently lower than the Japanese yen. I think this is because we are currently facing economic problems, and we are producing so much money that the dollar has gona down in value.

Sarah Leighton said...

I think it's very sad how the U.S. dollars is lower than the Japanese currency. Japan is boosting in many different ways. We are in a low economic period right now which might be due to why our currency is lower in value than Japan.

showarth4 said...

This article is about the United States dollar being worth less than Japanese Yen . I think that this really shows the vulnerability of the United States economy . The economy right now is harsh, and this really exploits this .

tmoore7 said...

i feel that if our money is so low wothing then that show the rest of the world our countryis worth that too. our country is said to be one of the most amazing countrys in the world, but how can we be so amazing if we cant afford any thing

Stevenator said...

The value of the dollar has been dropping ever since it was a item of currency, it's not surprising to me that it fell again. Eventually we'll have to return to either a system of bartering, or use more reliable things like gold. In fact, we still rely on gold to keep money's value still today. So having something rely on something else means that of course it'll get weaker over time.

Well this is about how the US dollar is lower than the japanese currency. I have to agree with that I don't really understand about how the dollar value can fluctuate but I am looking it up now:) seems like it might be a future test question. Overall though a pretty nifty article.

MBarton said...

The value of the U.S. dollar is obviously going to rise and fall becuase that's just how currency works. Right now it's lower than Yen. This concerns some people but I know that it'll go back up in value at some point. It may not be today or tomorrow or even a week from now but it will go back up. More money is made in both countries than what they have in gold or silver to back up.

The dollar is now lower than the japenese yen. this is probaly a thing because it shows that both counries are makeing alot of money. But also it can be bad because this means that what is worth a dollar is acually worth less. This fall has broke a 15 year record low. this may also mean that Japan's economy is ahead of the U.S.

NJohnson4 said...

The Japanese yen has surpassed the American dollar in value. This has upset the Japanese government who have been handling companies like Sony and Toyota. In my opinion, it is a mistake for the Japanese government to buy out bonds to assess the yen. This will only cost more money and hurt the the US and Japanese economies even more.

Alex said...

The American dollar has lost a lot of it's value in comparison to the Japanese yen. We have so much that is contributing to its declining value. Such contributors could be the current state of the economy or the fact that we print more money than we have in gold, that it lessens in value. If the pattern continue, the United States may have some serious financial problems in the future.

scaudle4 said...

The dollar is now worth less than Japanese currency. I think it's because of the economy downfall the US is and has been going through. Hopefully with time, our dollar will be worth more once again.

chris allen5 said...

The article is explaining how american dollars are worth less than the japanese currency. The current downfall of the U.S. dollar is most likely due to the economic crisis we are just coming out of. Another factor is probably because we have borrowed so much money from them that they have more to spend than we do. I see the U.S. dollars raising back above japans

TylerMcLaughlin5 said...

The U.S. dollar is now worth less then the Japanese Yen. This seems almost amazing to me. I say almost because I can see why it is. This is because of a mixture of the state of the U.S. economy and the fact that the U.S is printing more money than it can handle. The both of these are lowering the value of the dollar.

this article is basically saying that the japenese dollar is worth more than ours which is pretty sad. and the more money we make here the lower the dollar is worth.

LTimberman4 said...

The u.s. dollar is now lower than japan's dollar, but honestly it doesn't surprise me. The u.s is in a recession. Our economy isn't doing so great, so some things would go down in value. I think once the economy becomes better again, the u.s dollar will go up in value again.

SOsborne5 said...

The dollar bill is steadily losing value, and other countries are starting to have higher value money; such as Yen and Euros. It doesn't really bother me too much, there's always someone under someone else. This time it just so happens to be the USA. Hopefully the value will go back up soon to where it once was.

This article is about the dollar reaching a value lower than Japan's currency. Japan's economy is very strong, considered to be just behind ours and they are a large tech producer, so it is no surprise that they are achieving the level of success that they are.

Nic2 said...

The main point of this article is just stating that the dollar isnt worth as much a Japanese currency or value of their money. Japan just has a better economic situation right now so it makes sense

Tyler Michael Joseph O'Dell #2 :D said...

This article mainly talks about how the value of the US dollar is lower than the value of the Japanese currency. Which is most likely due to the economic recession.

Anonymous said...

Due to the U.S's economic struggles and not to mention just the amount of money being printed has caused the value of our money to drop every low. The value of our U.S. dollar is currently below those of Japans which is sad. But, i have no doubt that as our economy continues to recover the value of our dollar will rise and tower over the Japanese yen.

Evanpetten2 said...

right now the US dollar is at a lower cost then the japanese yen. this is probably because we are in a recession. Just about everyones money will be worth more than ours.

The dollar being lower then the japenese currency. I think that this is because of the economic difficulties that we are going through in the US. Honestly I am not shocked about this.

kmabry4 said...

i am not surprised that the US dollar is worth less than the Japanese dollar. look at their economy, they have all of these big business' that are doing well and stimulating there economy when we dont have that. it honestly doesnt surprise me

The dollar is worth less than the Yen. Its not surprising. With the dramatic downfall of our economy the dollar isn't worth much to anyone anymore.

The U.S. dollar is lower than Japanese currency. but this is no one's fault but ours. If we are so dissappointed then we have to step up and make a difference.

the U.S. dollar is lower than the Japanese currency. this is not our fault. The value of our products has gone down therefore countries will go elsewhere. As a nation we need to evaulate where we put our money and try our best to only invest in U.S. companies and products. If we keep them money here and not there our value will go up and theres will go down.

Anonymous said...

So the dollar is that low now? what a shock. just shows that The dollar isnt as popular as before. Though i've heard predictions of a future jump in the dollar soon.

AClinard said...

This article really didnt say much, it mostly tip-toes around the issue instead of saying anything really productive.

I do know however, that most of the problems we have in the value of our money comes from the amount of money that we owe the rest of the world. Some people believe that we should just print more money..this is abut the worst thing that we could do at the moment..

Its like baseball cards. The more Nolan Ryan baseball cards are made, the less they are worth. The more money we print, the less it is worth, and the value goes down, so the money isnt worth as much around the world. This makes the amount of money we owe the world even more...I guess some people higher up on the ladder think thats the way to go.......

THis article is about the american dollar being lower than the japanese dollar. This shows we are making too much money and that is causing the amount of the dollar to be lowered.

This article is saying that the Us dollar is now lower than the Japenese currency.Probably the reason is because of our economic problems we are having right now. I was shocked to hear that our dollar is lower than the Japenese currency but I guess thats how it goes.

The article is talking about how the value of the U.S dollar is lower than that of the Japanese and The dollar's continuing decline against the yen."overall, the dollar remains under pressure due to expectations of Fed action."

BaileyBrubaker said...

The U.S. dollar hits a 15 year low compared to the yen. This is probably due to the fact that our economy is so bad. I dont really get why we need to compare money with other countries. I also think the whole world should be on the same monetary system.
