I agree with this article. It's saying in a lot of ways, the U.S. and France are alike in some ways dealing with the economy. That our American Pride, votes, and jobs are at stake. That France hasnt had any net gains since Napolean, but somehow they can steal deal with it. People in France can retire before their kids are out of highschool, but we dont have national health care.
I don't think this is a good thing. Our economic system has worked for 250 years, we shouldn't be like socialist countries. Socialism isn't bad, but our system has survived the times. Bailing out the investors and making taxpayers pay for it is not a good habit to start, and it goes against the principles of our constitution.
I agree with what this article is talking about. I believe that the United States and France share the same views of the economy. France has alot of policies that are very similar to ours in the United States. In a way, I see the US as becoming a very socialist country. And that is a very bad thing.
I would have to say that I do agree with this article. France and the U.S. in many ways are alike but they are different as well. France has many policies that are the same as the U.S. but this also means that the U.S. may becoming a socialists country which isn't a very good thing, like Charles said our country has worked for 250 years and we shouldn't be like socialists countires.
i would have to say that i do agree with this article too. we are very alike actually. i am in my 3rd year of french and when we read about the culture and stuff it is just about the same. when it comes to the economy there is not much difference.
I think that in alot of ways the United States and France are a lot alike when it comes to the economy and when it comes to the ways of the French. France may be dealing with the economic pressure better than us because the can handle it better. In some ways our country can be seen heading to socialism. If so, then that is a very bad thing.
I think this article is correct. The U.S and France have many similarites. We both are in a economy struggle. We have to still work our butts off and e can't rely on them anymore. We both have problems in the auto industry. Kraft Foods has replaced AIG in the Dow Jones.
