More than half of Yellowstone National Park's bison herd has died since last fall, forcing the government to suspend its annual slaughter program.

This is a very sad thing to hear. I personally think that is is ridiculous for the number of bison killed by hunters. The fact that hunters are allowed to even kill an endangered species scares me. I want to be able to see bison someday in my life in the wild. And I want the same for my kids someday.
