"No Child Left Behind"

This article talks about the current status of, "No Child Left Behind". What are your feelings about this education law? Do you feel changes need to be made to the program? Which way would you answer? No, you are satisfied with the system. or If you do believe changes need to be made then what are they? What does this program have to do with economics?

No child left behind began as a wonderful idea for our education systems, but as the years have progressed i feel its impact is no longer improving anything. I feel the program should be either removed or completely made over; I guess i just do not believe dumbing down grading scales so children can pass tests and state exams is helping anyone. Education should be made accessible to all children, but at the same time it should not be lowered to eliminate the challenge it provides in the first place.
That being said, leaving the program as it is, will progressively result to an overall lower, dare i say it, intellectual level of the younger generation...and to be frank, we need MORE smart people in this world, not the opposite.
