I don't really think much of this article. The jewelry producers are allowing their customers to try on the jewelry before it is sold off. I don't think this kind of trend change with hurt the company's profit or money at all. I don't think any other company should try this because it doesn't matter if the customers are able to try on the jewelry before hand or not.
I find it interesting that some companies are seeing a physical move prudent. I don't see there being a larger profit margin for an in-person store--and certainly not as large as there online profit. There are some smaller retail stores that could do this with little difficulty, most of them apparel, but larger companies like Amazon simply wouldn't be able to do something of the sort without an enormous warehouse behind it. As for their bottom-line profits, it is all relative because the size and inventory of a company directly affects its logistical ability as well as its ability to move to a physical business in the first place.

This article makes me believe that the online shopping website owner are getting a little smarter. This change seems more logical in sense of sales. Online stores moving into to actual buildings opens up a variety of new customers. The ability to come in and try out/on the product being sold is likely to rise the businesses income. I don't really shop online so I have no specific store I would want to make this change, but I do suggest that all should do so. I'm excited to see the new variety of stores I may be able to shop at if more online stores make this decision.
This article does show that now being online doesn't have the same effect that once did. Online stores are now coming to the conclusion that people are becoming less an less dependent on what they are able to do online unlike the years in the past. I believe that this will actually help increase their profit in the end. With having stores in a physical location then people who may not have heard of them online now can see that they are right there where they can just drive to, and also they can get the item when the first see and don't have to wait for shipping. No I don't have a store that i would want to become physical located really. But when the time comes i would prefer to shop at a real store compared to a store online.
I don't think much of this article. At the moment I don't wish for an internet site to move to a physical location as I like the accessibility that comes with ordering products online. Moving stores to a physical location could possibly help stores with income but the stores would have to be in affluent cities where the chances of massive amounts of people seeing the store front are high.
I don't have any stores I wish would make this move. I personally do not shop online very often. I more enjoy going to my regular places, and enjoying my life as it is. I believe this would help their profit though. By having it to where people can physically see it people will know more of if they like things or if clothing, for example, would fit them. There would be less returns and less, to some, unnecessary shipping costs. If someone could save the money they would have used on shipping, they would be able to then spend that money in the shopping place, making more revenue for the company. I myself am quite content with some places strictly being online, although, others may not agree, I have my opinions and they have theirs.
Nothing comes to mind that i feel should move to "in person." i thinks its great that they feel the need to make this move. if it helps finacially then go for it. i dont see how it'll hurt their profit but who's to say? some places, like Amazon, should strictly be online. if Amazon were to move i feel like it'd be too much unnecessary work. i personally like online shopping for books. perhaps not clothes so much. maybe all clothing online stores should make this move. but, then again, most clothing online stores also have a physical store you can go to.
I think it's actually very interesting - it raises a lot of questions though, because the way I've heard it, businesses start at a physical location, then move online. However, it makes sense to start online, as it would be advertised to many more people, and create a jump-start of profit.
I think these stores, like Amazon, will have most of their sales online for a long time, as everyone is used to it, and there's always a matter of traveling cost and time. After a few years though, when more stores are built around the nation, more and more people will be shopping offline for these companies.
An online store that I would love to make this move is promgirl.com. I've gotten dresses for several dances from them & enjoyed every one i have received. I feel like it would be easier to walk into an actual store and see the actual dress. However, I'm not sure it would be best for the company. More expenses would come with having to start a physical location and I don't think the profits would increase from this change. I don't think it would hurt their profits too much either, but it would be taking a risk to see which way it goes. I don't think it would be worth the time or effort.
