In this article in a synaposis is the price of the turkey! Lol which this is a funny article because they thanksgiving season is supposed to raise the economy but it might hurt it if the turkey prices are high! Also families might have to pay a substantial amount of money more to have a turkey

The price of turkey has incresed substantially this year. Therefore families will be paying greater than ever for their thanksgiving turkey this holiday season. Even though it has been perjected that thanksgiving will raise the economy. The question now is will it now lower it?

The price of turkeys has really increased for this year. Not only turkeys but other traditional foods usually made on Thanksgiving. Many families will probably be cutting down on dinners or not even have turkey at all because of the prices.

Turkey prices increasing doesn't affect me I don't really like turkey

This is an unfortunate turn of events where no one wins. Turkey prices are up, hurting the consumer; corn prices are up (due to weather conditions) hurting the turkey farmer. Stores are lowering turkey prices and losing money to get consumers to buy other items. In conclusion, buy your turkey from Wal-Mart!

What? The biggest symbol of Thanksgiving is almost becoming unaffordable to some people? Turkey is one thing that I really look forward to when Thanksgiving comes knocking on my door. I guess ham will eventually become a more popular food because it is cheaper. All the fast food restrauants will really benefit from this.

The price of turkey is up this Thanksgiving season, just like everything thing else in the United States. It's unfortunate that families who are already cutting back on everything else, now have to cut back on the food they eat for Thanksgiving to stay in their budget. Thanksgiving may raise the economy due the the large numbers of people who will be buying huge amounts of food this holiday season, but families will be eating smaller portions this holiday season due to the high prices and their shrinking wallets.

The price of turkey has increased this year. This will decrease the amount of food purchased if families base their dinner around the traditional turkey. Some families may even forho te turkey for some cheaper meat

Turkey prices are up! Thanksgiving was supposed to help the economy. But since turkey prices are so high this year, it may do just the opposite and hurt the economy.

This article is about the price of turkey and other Thanksgiving food which has really increased for this year. And many families will be cutting down back.

BaileyBrubaker said...

Prices for turkey are rising just like the prices for everything else. The reason they are rising is because turkey feed price is rising. hopefully all the shopping that goes along with thanksgiving will raise the economy.

Sarah Leighton said...

The prices of turkey are rising, just like everything else is. Thanksgiving may raise the economy because of the amount of people buying so much food.

Dani said...

If turkey prices are higher, then people are less likely to buy a turkey for Thanksgiving. They have rose this year. Families are more likely to buy a substitute for turkey this year. It doesn't affect me, seeing as I prefer ham to turkey.

Thankgiving may be costing more than past years because the price of turkey and other food has gone up about 50% since last year. on anverage the price of turkey per pound was $1.09, that is a mjor increase since last year. corn has also gone up. Families may end up having to cut down on some of the foods they make every year because of these prices.

The turkey, a large part of the Thanksgiving meal, has risen substantially this year. many fear that they won't be able to afford the most important part of the festive meal. Economist say that the Thanksgiving holiday will rake in some much needed revenue into the economy. But did they think about the fact that if people cant afford the food, the money won't be spent on buying it.

Evanpetten2 said...

This article is about the price of turkey. unfortunately its going up, however people will still buy it.

DDix2 said...

The price of turkey has gone up quite a bit this year. This could potentially hurt the economy even more because people are only going to pay so much for a turkey therefore if prices get to high many families might not be eating turkey on thanksgiving.

aglobke5 said...

There's no surprise the price of turkey has gone up this year, the economy is bad, there's no other explanation. On the other hand, people will still continue to buy the same size turkeys every year because it is their family tradition and there's no price on that.

i love turkey. too bad the inflation rate is gonna destroy this one. oh well.

Our forefathers and founders of our country are probably rolling in their graves right now. Thanksgiving has been a holiday since before we were a country and now the average American person can't even afford to celebrate this holiday. Turkey, as well as many other foods that have been portrayed as tradition, is now unaffordable. Oh well, my stomach will still be stuffed at the end of the day.

scaudle4 said...

Who knew that turkey would be an issue on Thanksgiving? The prices are going up on turkeys, which is making it hard for some to buy for this holiday. Thanksgiving was supposed to help bring the economy up, but if this continues, I don't think we will see much of a change in the economy.

so the price of turkey has gone up. its not a big deal i mean ham and turkey are pretty expensive as it is. Just go to some cheap little grocery store and buy a whole family thanksgiving dinner for 25 dollars, it comes with mashed potatoes, cranberry gunk and of course turkey and much more for a cheap price.

Thanksgiving gets gypt enough as it is. It seems like every year, right after Halloween, people move straight to Christmas. Turkey prices going up is just going to make this worse.

Anonymous said...

Well it's always been the question...ham or turkey? This year due to the increasing price i think for most families the answer to this question will be HAM!

With all these food drives i see around the area, praising for cans of food to help feed people who can't afford any during the season, it's no surprise that Turkey is becomming hard to aquire. People are getting into stages where its even hard to get a good thanksgiving dinner with the turn of the years...

Holidays are supposed to boost the economy, and the price of the turkey going up could do that, but it could also cut the demand for the traditional turkey dinner for thanksgiving like it has been every year, this doesn't effect me all that much however because i couldn't care less about turkey.

It sucks turkey prices are going up. But i mean really, who cares. I'm still getting turkey.

Woah, big shocker that turkey prices have increased. Everything in this economy seems to be increasing in price. As the years go on, the turkey prices will continue to increase. Thanksgiving is supposed to help the economy? This is a joke. The economy will keep worsening if the prices of items are high.

This article is an article that really makes you realize that little things can have a big impact on the economy

The price of turkey is rising. it seems like everything's price is rising. A lot of people are already cutting back on things and now they have to cut back on the holidays. The economy seems unstable to me.

MBarton said...

The price of turkey has risen higher than in years past. I know a lot of people are upset about this, my own family included. I think the price of turkey has risen to try and help boost the economy this year. I can only hope that it works.

jmccune2 said...

turkey prices may be increasing, but i don't think that is going to change anything about thanksgiving.
everyone is still going to have the traditional meal.

chris allen5 said...

Turkey prices have gone up. I think that will just have less money for christmas gifts. So the thought is what if less people will be having big dinners, and going a less expensive rout. I think this is very possible, because of the economy still being a little shakey.

joshBurns5 said...

This article is about the cost of turkey this thanksgiving because of the rise of the cost of feed. U.S. wholesale, frozen turkeys jumped to $1.09 a pound on average yesterday, the highest price ever and up 28 percent from a year earlier,

bkueker5 said...

price of turkeys increasing could mean less food or no turkey...this is an economic problem for the country.

dbrown5 said...

The economy is bad so it was pretty much assured that turkey prices would be up. I don't know why this would be a surprise to anybody, everyone is acting like its a shocker. As long as the economy stays bad the prices of things the government knows people need, will continue to rise,

Turkey prices increased this year. Families might have to find substitutes for their traditional turkey. Some may not even have a thanksgiving dinner. Holidays are suppose to help the economy. But, if it's like this it might actually hurt it.

thanksgiving will raise this economy because prices are going up because they know people have to buy them. so they just keep raising them

edifruscio2 said...

I think that the price of turkey is ridiculous. Some families cannot afford something so expensive.

DBrice5 said...

The Price Of The Turkey Is Going Way Too High. That's Not Going To Help The Economy. People Will Have To Pay Way More Money For A Turkey. Which Is Not Good. If They Want To Help The Economy They Will Lower The Price.

asebastian5 said...

AClinard said...

Thanksgiving is a great excuse for producers of such holiday paraphernalia to raise their prices. Its not that turkey is getting more expensive to produce, its just that the farmers know that that people will pay just about any price for turkey, since its thanksgiving. You can also see the increase in price of gas, due to holiday travel.

It's not any super-difficult economic reason..it's just business.

JCallender2 said...

Of course the price of Turkey went up, the price of everything went up and Turkey is at a high demand around this time of year so producers will raise the price for their benefits.
