I agree we are not out yet but we are almost out of the woods. But hopefully we will get out soon. The job market is the farthest from recovery with many still unemployed. But the job market should pick up soon because of the record low intrest rates.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke believes that the biggest problems in our economy are in the housing market and the unemployment. This has been the worst recession since 1930 but the economy seems to be growing again, however we are "far from being out of the woods." According to Bernanke. He also belives that making the decision of when to boost rates will be among the most important decisions in restarting our economy.

I think that we are FAR from being out of the woods. We still have a lot of people unemployed and health care problems, but thankfully Obamma is working on and trying to get it fixed. So i do believe that we will be out of the woods in a couple of years.

We are not like that bat. We have problem with healt and unemploymen, but if obama still work like he been do it we going be good an couple year.

Unemployment rates are dropping more and more each year and it needs to be changed. We need to figure out a way to get job employments back up and get the money flow going again like it used to be.

shawglenn4 said...

Um no not yet; we're doing better but no completely healed. Jobs are getting back on their feet and health care is improving. So we has something to look forward to in the next couple years.

According to the Federal Reserve Chairman unemployment, and housing market are two biggist problems in the economy. This past recession has been the worst since the 1930's. It will awhile till we find our way out of this one. Raising the rates will help the economy restart.

nope the job market is still bad but getting better, people are still unemployed, but the percentage of unemployed people is going down which is excellent

These recessions have to happen ever 10 years or so; helps with the bad blood, they say. Sure, some are worse than others, but if we can catch early on, and as long as nothing else bites us when we're down, America will definatly bounce back. She always does.

Not out of the woods but at least we found the trail. Our economy is growing after the recession but I believe we could slip back into it .

We are not completely out of the words yet. Our economy is getting better and better as time goes on. ((The animals will be fine....))

The economy is doing better but not everything is going to all come together at one time. People are getting jobs so it must be doing a little better. But for the animals idk.....

No we are not completely out of the woods yet , but we should be soon if Obama does what he needs to be doing such as with the jobs.

I dont think we are out of the woods yet. the country is in a very fragile state right now so any tip one way or another could send the country spiraling again. On the up side though, we are starting to make some progress and return back to the way we were before the major recession.

K.Buckner6 said...

I dont think we are out yet. i kinda dont think we will be for awhile. but im hoping that here soon we will be.
its gone on way to long and we have always been in a hole.

we are not out of the woods. there are people that still don't have a job. people just need help to get jobs. we're just need people to get a job an finally be out of the woods.

We are close but not fully out of the woods. We need to keep on getting our economy rebuilt then hopefully by then we will be out.

I'd have to agree with Bernanke because in my family we grapple with both unemployment and foreclosure so to say we're out of the woods would be a statement for few americans but not the whole country. But interest rates boost needs to come soon because if Hoenig's right then after we're "out of the woods that could bite us.

ChinaMARi3 said...

I have to agree with Bernanke. There are still lots of people out of a job and our economy is still not doing good at all in the housing market because of foreclosures. So no, we're not out of the woods yet. Nope.

NBogard said...

I agree as well that we still have a while to go before we get out of this recession. Housing is still down and there are still many people that are unemployed. Until the job market increases then the housing industry will not increase. But lets hope that it will soon.

T.Chapman7 said...

i agree with Bernanke we are not completely out of the woods however i do believe we are well on our way. i believe the hardest part would be getting the unemployment rate down once this happens i think everything else will follow.

alanh7 said...

This recession is still very much a reality. With high unemployment and various other factors, we can see it is not over yet. It might be, in the near future, but we can't completely let our guards down. Hopefully Bernanke's policy will get us out of this recession. All recessions come to an end someday, and that day may be soon to come. Contrarily, it might be postponed to the not quite near future.

Ben Bernanke is our federal reserve chairman, he believes that the biggest problem in our economy are in the market and the unemployment problems. i agree, but i think we are far from being out of our many problems, health care and unemployment are a huge deal . Good thing Obama is trying to do something about our problems.

Unemployment and health care still needs to be dealt with and soon. They are major issues. We might be on our way out but the recession is far from over.

No we are not out of the woods yet, close but no cigar. We will be soon if Obama really does what he says he is gonna do about the jobs.

jstreeter7 said...

I think we are not out of this quite yet out of this yet especially. With the unemployment rate still high and thousands of homes are being foreclosed. But I think things have improved because there are more people going back to work everyday.

We are deffenitly not out of the woods yet. We are on the road to recovery, but it might take a while. Employment is slowly increasing and hopefully the unemplyment rate will start dropping.

We are not out of the woods yet. I think it's going to take some time and patience. With the new healthcare thing obama wants to deal with, and the decisions on raising or lowering taxes it will take a while. but definitely on the road to recovery.

No. There are still so many people without jobs. It will take awhile for things to get back to "normal". The economy could go either way. We could slip back into a recession or we could get out of it.

amber burns said...

The economy still needs time to recover. Just because things are starting to look better doesnt mean automatically people will regain their jobs as fast as lightning. I agree this is a sad process to go through, and i agree when Bernanke says we are not out of the woods, but we need to give it a little more time before things go completely back to normal, and quit getting upset that things are not changing as fast as you want them to. But, i do believe job losses arnt increasing as much anymore, and the economy is slowly moving forward.

No we are still in the woods because there are many people through-out the U.S. without jobs. This is one of the worse recessions in our countries history. although i said that we are still in the woods i still believe that there are also other people in the U.S. with jobs. So our country isn't deep into the woods, i think i about 4-5 more months we will have recovered and more people will have jobs.

We are really really close. Like we can see the light of the sun again but were not out yet. Stuff may have a bit till it is recovered yet but once it is covered it will be good to go from there. We will be able to stand back up on our own 2 feet and get walking again. Until then we got to crawl the rest of the way so we don't where out.
