Like I've said in previous blogs, this is all one gigantic circle. I do see the nation going back into another recession if we do not drastically change something. Since there are still no jobs, people don't spend money, and people spending money is the only way our nation can return back to normal and we can be out of this recession for good, otherwise we will be stuck in economic turmoil for a while.

I do agree with what Rebekah said. Everything in the economy is dependent upon one another. It was interesting to look at the charts of jobs, retail sales, oil, autos, home sales, and stocks and see how they all plunged at once and have had somewhat the same recovery. I can see how we can easily slip back into an even worse recession than what we have just experienced. Something does have to change to make the ecomony better. It will be interesting to see how strong the Christmas sales are this year.

I think that if we don't do anything to fix this that the economy cold be in a worse state than we were in. Everyone had their hopes up that this was almost over yet unemployment rates and loss of property is still high. If we do not do something about this soon to make a longer lasting effect the recession could turn into a depression.

Our economy has natural business cycles that causes the economy to have downfalls every so often. hopefully this up and coming event known as Black friday will encourage people to spend money and help the entire cycle start moving again. I, myself, will take part in this event. I will mostly just go to encourage spending and enjoy the event.

I've said this before and and will keep saying over and over again, the economy is doing well now but it WILL NOT LAST. unless jobs, retail sales, oil, auto, home sales, and stock stay up we will go back down into a recession. The Great Recession is not completely over yet. But i do encourage shopping on black friday, for it will increase sales and keep at least one thing up.

This is a natural thing that happens in our economy. Our economy has ups and downs, recessions and expansions. This recession will come and pass, we should see things go up in the near future.

Of course the U.S. will be in another recession. Hopefully not too soon, but we know that its always going to happen in the economy. Maybe it will be a small one, or maybe it will be a big one. Who knows? A lot of people are still unemployed, or still losing jobs because of the way the economy is now. If we can pull out of this recession sometime soon hopefully another one will not start right away. If we stay in a recession for too long it could turn into a depression, and that would not be good at all.

i can see us going back into a recession because people see that the economy is getting on its feet so they are going back to spending like crazy. even if they are not putting it on credit they are using cash but still that can. but people still don't have jobs. but they may get a seaon job but thats going to only last a few weeks maybe not even that.....

I can see us going back into another recession. I don't think it will be soon but I really think it will happen again. I wonder how Christmas is going to be this year. My Christmas maybe limited lol.

The vicious circle know as our economy is coming around to its full turn, we recently saw the recession having a light at the end of the tunnel, a fall back deeper into the recession is not out of the question. The only way our economy can come back is if the nation starts to spend money, hopefully spending this holiday season will help give the economy the boost it needs.

i believe that the economy is just a really big row of dominos and everything is affected by everything else so you really cant just say that the recession is over yet oh yea and one more thing .....big ol t!!

Luke Sherron said...

I hope we don't go into another recession. It's a vicious circle. People don't spend money because the economy is bad and the economy doesn't get better because people don't spend money. Maybe it will help when people start christmas shopping and black friday could help.

of course we will eventually return to the times of recession. it's inevitible. But we can prolong the effects (in my opinion) by not allowing the government to try way too hard. if we allow them to do so; as i have said before, we will be worse of than we were before. BIG OL' T!

briannab5 said...

since we aren fully out of the recession there is still a possibility we could fall right back into one

KyleS6 said...

I dont think the economy going into another recession. The employment rate is pretty high but we can get it down. We will eventually go back to normal.

Dustin D. said...

I do not think that our economy will "double dip". The economy is clearly improving and unemployment will not get much worse before it starts improving. If our economy double dipped, than the economy would be progressively getting worse, which it clearly isn't. The economy is going to be fine.

I think it's definitely possible that we could be in another recession. It doesn't look like we've done a whole lot to come out of the current one so i'd say that if we don't do something soon then it's likely that we'll go into a new one. Maybe one that's even worse than the one now.

I think that the economy might be in recovery, and if it is, i think it won't go back into a recession. there are periods of ups and downs in the economy, but I find it hard to believe that they can fix this and then be shocked that it has messed up again. I think tht the recession would be aimed to fixed for the long term.

i definitely think that once the recession ends that there will be another one eventually. the economy cant be perfect 24/7 & that's when recessions happen.

AshleyS6 said...

I don't believe that the economy is slipping into another recession. Unemployment is still high but that doesn't mean that we are going to "double dip" into another recession.

Tyler Manley said...

I do not believe we are going to be going into another recession i think that the recession got better and we got greedy and droped into another recession we have to change our ways or else this recession will get worse and worse till we have another depression.

agg2011 said...

Another recession?? Who said we were ever out of this past one?? I dunno but i think it feels as if we are in the same spot as we have been. People need to spend there money in order for the economy to do better but not many people have money to spend. So for now i think we are kind of stuck.

Austin Mooney said...

I agree with Drew M. Black Friday will most likely encourage buyers to spend all at once, bringing money into the labor field and possibly giving the economy another little boost.

Abbie said...

As many of my classmates have stated, this is a big circle. If we do not do something to positively influence the economy we will head right back into a recession. We need people to spend money, but money is tight right now. Hopefully a lot of people go out on Black Friday and throughout the Christmas shopping season to spend money and stimulate the economy.

Jakefletcher said...

I really don't think we can afford to go into another recession. It's a vicious circle. People don't spend money because the economy is bad and the economy doesn't get better because people don't spend money. I think it will help when people start christmas shopping and black friday could have a positive affect.

I believed we were still in a recession until reading this article. I am glad to hear most economist think we are in a recovery and not a recession, but it is going to be a slow recovery. It's great to her the six main factors of our economy are improving, but there is still the fear of another down turn. I just hope the government finds a way to keep our economy in a stable condition and continue to incline instead of decline.

Chris Edwards said...

This whole thing is like an unbalanced scale, on minute we're coming up and then the other minute we're going down. It really doesn't make any sense to me at all, some people have no jobs and because of that people spend no money. People need to spend money so our economy can go back to the way it used to be, and we won't have to worry about going back into this big slump we call a recession. But other than that we will be stuvk in this for a long time, which is not good!

If we do fall back into the recession it could be one of the regular downs of the business cycle. It could also be that we never fully recovered from the first and we're falling back in because of that. Whatever it is we can't stop it from happening again, it just happened again sooner than we thought.

MikeyBrown7 said...

This recession can't be quoted as "another recession" when the one that they say has passed isn't truly over yet. Like everyone says before things get good again things gotta get bad. Time is the only thing that can help the recession process. So be patient and let things fall back into place.

JBiddle7 said...

I'm glad we are recovering from this recession. It is sad that economists believe that we will dip back into a recession, but they are probably right. I hope it will not, but the economy I have seen is not that great.

Mwbeatty.7 said...

It is said the longer we prosper, the longer we will be involved in an economic downturn. mostly every blogger here has the same idea about black friday leading to a sense of partial relief and i too believe that, but at the same time, blackfriday will not end the recession, this unfortunately will still take an abundance of time.

HOLOGRAPHICpizza said...

When everyone was all excited about the end of the recession, I thought it was too good to be true. The economy us still pretty messed up and I won't be surprised one bit if we slip back into a recession next year.

BreeLipscomb08 said...

I don't think our economy is going into another recession. before things get better they are bound to get worse. But i have a positive view on the economy and i think things will turn out just fine...if even just for a little while.

It's a dreadful cycle, I hope that we aren't pulled back into another recession before our recovery is complete from this one.

What it means to this is we are going to have another recession. Now how bad it will be is up to us. By preparing for it we can get through it will little damage. Still the one now,the damage still hasn't subsided yet. We must prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

It seems to me that everyone is focused on the negative side of our economic standing lately. Nationally, unemployment is slowly (I'll admit very slowly) decreasing. Our GDP is slowly (once again, very slowly) starting to increase and regardless of the speed in which these events are happening, things are starting to get better. Yes, our economy is rising. No, it won't be a fast process. And yes, it will take a great deal of time. But, slowly and surely we are growing economically. We are not heading towards another recession we are simply going a little slower in the recovery process than most people would like and that is no reasonn to assume that our economy is doomed to another failure.

I really hope that our economy does not slip back into another recession. But it always has it's ups and downs. So I don't think we can really tell for a couple of more months. I am curious to see how this Christmas goes, I know everyone is having a hard time. But I think this will give us an idea of how it is looking.

ConorO'Hea said...

Everyone goes through slumps. And thats whats happening right now. We will get out of this recession period and start expanding. It's how a lot of typical economies operate. We'll see improvement soon...I think

VictoriaWooton2011 said...

You can and will always be able to say there is going to be another recession in the US. You can go ahead and bet your bottom dollar. It's the way the economy works. It's one continuous circle, and we never know what going to cause us to hit rock bottom. If people purchase more, then we might be able to stimulate the economy to keep us out of the hole for a while, otherwise we are headed straight for the toilet again.

elyniP4 said...

well if you really just think about it everything just runs off of everything and when one thing is affected so is everything else. And with the recession were just sinking we need to really work harder and look at the satistics of the recession.

AJDowning4 said...

I agree with Condor. I think this is just a little slump we are going threw. We do need to do something or we will continue in this slump for a while.

BreeLipscomb08 said...

I agree and i think the nation will be going back into another recession. I've said it before, in order for things to get better they will most likely get worse first.

Stephanie ! said...

for real , i don't see us getting out of the recession at all . yeah , there are some things that are helping us progress , but not at the rate we should be. if we don't do something else, we'll probably fall deeper into a recession more than we already are.

kaygibb said...

i dont think that this recession will end anytime soon because people still dont have jobs which means they dont have money to just be spending. i dont see it changing anytime soon

if people stop being scared to spend money we will get out of this but if china doesn't stop lien about the money there using were never gonna get out of it

If you see news etc. you can see that we going back to another recession, because a lot people don't have job so can expend so the economic going down/back.
