Why did the stock market drop this week?

The decline in the stock market really didn't come to much of a surprise to me. If we're going to try and get back to normalcy in the stock market it's not always going to be positive. The market will take some hits before it gets back to where it once was and this is just one of them.

This is no surprise. It is just one way to get back the the way we were. Even though unemployment rate is at 8% i think we should improve and the stocks will shoot back up. It is predicted to go down but shoot up again!

Unfortunally this is expected. People are saying that the recession is over, but it is going to be a while. We can't be jumpy, we just have to be paitent and eventually Wall Street will recover.

The stock market dropped this week because of the jobs report. Of course, we can't expect the stock market to be alright if unemployment is still a problem. This isn't the end of it either, and it will happen again but Wall Street will be doing much better in the end.

The stock market rises and the stock market falls. This is natural, and we as the United States cannot expect to prosper for eternity! We are still in a recession i do believe and like i previously said, this will take some more time and effort to recover. So for the drop,I am not too concerned beings I know the market will rise.

The fall in the stock market comes as no surprise it is a natural process that the economy will go through just like a recession will occurs every few years. The market will continue to shift before it goes back to a good solid consistent pattern

Some economists are saying that the recession is over. I think that this would be a false statement. If the recession were over then the stock market wouldnt keep dropping this badly and we would be getting better and not worse. So it really isnt a huge surprise that the stock market has dropped. The stocks are very touchy, but they will eventually shoot back, so no worries there.

This is just one way to get us back to the position we were in before, Unemployment rate is 8% but I think we can improve and stocks will shoot right back up again.

In order to get the stock market back to where it should be, it needs to have those highs and lows to even it out in the long run.

I haven't really been playing the stock market game. But, I do notice that one day people are up and the next they are down. I think this is a normal thing recession or not. The market is not always going to be perfect

The stock market dropped because it wasn't doing very good.

As we near the end of the recession - hopefully - we can expect the stock market to do these sorts of crazy things, just as unemployment continues to rise. Although they seem to be negative signs, they may actually be positive indicators.

The decline in the stock market kinda sucks, my stocks on the game crashed and i'm dead last.. :( The market needs to go up and down in order to fix itself.

the stock market will never be positive for more than a little bit i think . as long as we're stil in a recession that is . if unemployment is still very low, people can't expect the stocks to be much higher.

as long as unemployment is a problem i expect the stock market to keep on rising and falling until the economy is normal again
