H1N1- Supply and Demand Lesson
Seems like all we are hearing in the news is about the flu virus...... wait until you watch this. What does this have to do with supply and demand? What are your thoughts?
The demand for these suits is sky high and it does not need to be. I agree with the doctor. People need to calm down and not stress out about the swine flu. Like he said, if you're healthy you'll be fine. The suit won't help protect you from swine flu because your hands are still not covered and neither is your face. Swine flu is transmitted through your nose, eyes, and mouth. If you really want to be paranoid you should just live in a bubble.
This is a crazy solution to protecting yourself against the swine flu. The suit probably would not help you very much anyway since it doesn't cover your mouth or hands. Im sure the demand for suits and masks is way up in Japan and the supply is probably starting to decline which would increase the cost. People should just realize that if they take necessary precautions and not ridiculous ones then they will be fine.
A suit to help prevent H1N1? Are you kidding me? I honestly can not see this new suit being much of a help in preventing the disease. Not having the suit cover your hands or your mouth would be the major flaw in the H1N1 preventing suits. Just stay healthy and you should be fine in preventing the flu.
I think people are really over reacting about the whole swine flu. It's a serioous virus but a suit is that really neccesary?? and if your face and hands are not covered than how is this really helping you?when it's transmitted this way. I don't think the suit makes much sense at all and people are just really paranoid. Everyone needs to jut calm down and worry abou staying healthy and clealness.
I think that people freaking out like this is rediculous. I understand this isbacoming a major issue, but to go so far as to wear a suit to "block it." I don't think it will work or fight anything from getting in. Bacteria gets in one's system no matter what, no mask or suit will block it. Just be smart and wash your hands and you'll be fine.
I am super sick. I have missed the past two days of school because I have the flu. I hate being sick...well who doesnt? But I think this whole suite thing is just stupid. I can understand a major concern for people with small babies, but if you are that worried about it then just stay home. Its really pretty funny to see what people will buy or do if they are afraid of something. I think this is just a waste of peoples money. The companies that are putting this kind of stuff out there know that people will buy it if it will help protect their friends and family from getting sick.
I think that people are just trying to make money off of what people are demanding- protection from the swine flu. This suit doesn't even cover the basics the eyes, nose, and hands this is the way that Swine flu is being passed along. Although, of course it is something to consider but it doesn't need to be this drastic, if you want to be protected then good hygiene is the way to go.
These anit-flu suits are an extreme over precaution against getting sick. People are overreacting to the swine flu when it's just like any other flu during this season. Whoever made the suits is making a lot of money off of other people's fear.
First of all that idea that a suit can protect a person from swine flu is absolutely crazy. I don't see how that is going to prevent someone from sneezing in the air or coughing on you, contracting an airborn disease. Anyway, as far as supply and demand goes, people are buying more suits and masks which means that the supply will go down causing the price to rise. People in Japan are wasting their money on ridiculous precautions over this issue.
People are too worried bout a disease that is easy to prevent from getting there's no reason to go out and buy a suit that will be thrown away after flu season just wash you hands frequently and cover your mouth.
i think this is just a way to make money, because people are hearing about the possibly deathly fate to the swine flu, and want to protect themselves from it. Even if that means buying some said suit to reduce your chances of getting it. This affects the demand immensely causing it to sky rocket for these suits along with anything else though preventable from this flu
This is a crazy idea. The suit would probably not be much protection to swine flu. It doesn't even cover your hands and face. Swine flu can be transmitted many different ways and I don't think the suit will do a good job protecting it.
Wow I didn't know that Japan was having such a mass hysteria over the swine flu. I also don't see how a suit will keep you from getting swine flu because the most likely way for people to get it is by getting the germs on their hands and then their face. This shirt won't help with that. It isn't some sort of magical totem. But I know if they sold them here my mother would would immediately buy one, even though it's obvious it won't work.
There is a big demand for these suits and that means that the supply is going to get bigger. People need to realize that they should just wash their hands more!!!
People are too worried bout a disease that is very preventable from getting there's no reason to go out and buy a suit that will be thrown away after flu season just wash you hands frequently and cover your mouth or get the vaccination which is more cost efficient.

Since the H1N1 virus has been spreading, the Japense suit company can make a lot of money by selling these suits. Since the demand is so high, the company can make a huge profit. Personally, the idea for a suit to prevent H1N1 is going to the extremes a little. People just need to wash their hands more and stay away from the crowds if they are sick to help contain the virus.
Though i find it very interesting that Japan are making suits to prevent the flu and all but really now its just people them wanting to sell their suits and have their store grow. The suit doesnt cover your nose mouth or hands. So to prevent the flu just stay washing your hands. You dont need a suit for that.
i don't see much a difference in the protection of the suit as compared to regular clothing. I mean it's not like were giving each other the flu buy anything other than our hands and face. Just give us gloves and masks if it gets REALLY bad, but other than that i don't think suits would be necessary.
Really? a suit? thats a bit ridiculous. Its the flu. Stay healthy and you'll be alright. People are getting a little crazy when it comes down to this. I can't imagine someone wearing a suit to prevent the swine flu. The suit did even cover your mouth or hands, what's the point of that? i think people just need to calm down and do what is necessary and just stay healthy.
I don't think that this suit is a solution for the swine (h1n1). I think that if you are going to get it you are going to get it. Wash your hands like you should be doing anyways and drink a lot of orange juice. I think the people of Japan are over reacting a tad. Not everybody in the world is going to get swine flu.
The suit I am not sure about I think it is just a gimmick to get people to buy them, due to this H1N1 scare. If they would just realize taking the precautions that they are given, with the vaccination, masks, and hand washing. I don't think they would waste their money on it. The supply of the vaccine and the masks may not meet the demand, due to everyone is in a semi-panic over this swine flu.
The media blew this whole disease out of proportion. This so called "epidemic" was no where near as bad as what the media made it out to be. The only ones who died were infants, the elderly, and those with prior health issues such as a heart condition. I myself and the rest of the family were hit with the swine flu and the only side effect that caused us discomfort was a migraine. Just listen to my advice and don't listen to the outlandish stories the media spews forth.
Wow I didn't know that Japan was having such a mass hysteria over the swine flu. I also don't see how a suit will keep you from getting swine flu because the most likely way for people to get it is by getting the germs on their hands and then their face.
The suit will probably not protect you from the flu very much because it doesn't cover your hands and mouth.Just stay healthy and wash your hands alot and you can protect yourself.
I think this is a very creative idea but a little overkill. I wouldn't spend my money on it. I agree with the doctor. People just need to practice good hygiene and that will probably do more good than suits and masks.
This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. How can a suit protect you from getting the swine flu? People are making too big of a deal about this virus. From everything that I have seen, the only people that have died from H1N1 already had previous health issues. So, I think that everybody just needs to calm down and not worry so much about the swine flu.
I think it a crazy idea to have a suit made to protect people from the flu. People are overreacting about this , they say we waste money on things we don't need but buying a suit to prevent H1N1 , something that can be prevented by little things like washing hands, or covering your mouth when you cough. its that simple !
People are taking this disease to far! I was out sick for like one day and people thought i had the swine flu. I know of a few people that have already had it, and have got over it, so it's really not as bad as people are portraying it as. More people have died from the common flu then swine flu. If you really want to prevent getting it wash your hands as much as possible and don't cough into your hands that suit is not going to help anyways because it doesn't cover your hands and that's where most germs are transmitted.
I honestly believe that this is a silly idea, but you have to hand it to the people who thought of this flu preventing suit. They knew people would buy into the idea of protecting yourself from an illness that has been so high profile. A lot of people think that there are precautions than need to be taken, different than those used to prevent the common flu. These are the same people who would feel the need to purchase something as humorous as a swine suit, when the only way to really protect yourself is to be healthy and simply wash your hands. The Japanese didn't make the suit in a literal attempt to protect people as much as they did to make a profit. Dumb product, smart idea.
I don't think I believe this suit could really do that much against the swine flu, but this is an awesome invention. I think to many people are being paranoid about swine flu. I think the regular flu has already killed more people than the swine flu has this year.
These suits are in too high of demand. It covers your body just as much as a regular suit does. It is just a waste of money. The doctor is very right, if your healthy you'll be fine.
Uhm come on people, all you need to do is wash your hands. Duh. But i honestly just think people will do anything for money these days, no matter what it is.
I don't think that the suits really help they can't stop someone coughing and things. but i think that people should stop making a big deal about the swine flu it's just like any other flu. i was at atrium saturday night and people were getting told that they can gte checked for it but if it's not a deadly case of it then they have to go home and treat it like the regular flu. so i think wearing a mask is over reacting..
This whole idea about these outrageously expensive suits preventing you from catching swine flu makes me think about those nuclear preventive blankets they tried to sell during the cold war. It's someone else trying to make profit on someone else' stupidity or ignorance. People need to pick up a book every now and then and learn what we're REALLY dealing about.
oh my gosh! come on. this whole flu thing is starting to get out of hand, seriously. just wash your hands and cover your mouth. a suit is not going to do anything but prove that people are paranoid. this suit thing is just another way for someone to make money off of ignorant people.
I very highly doubt this suit will become too popular. The swine is preventable in many ways other than this nonsense. Just another way for some idiotic manufacturer to pocket money off of those who really believe an operation like this would really take action.
It seems pretty insane to me for these suits to be in such a high demand. When they don't even seem like they would be that protective, I mean they don't even cover your hands or mouth, how helpful is that against a virus that is transmitted through your hands and mouth. People just need to chill with this whole swine flu thing, just wash your hands and you should be goood.
The flu suit is just a way for people to make money from those people who are freaked out about the swine flu. People are going a little over the top about the whole issue. Good for the suit company, they suckered a good number of people to by a useless product.
lololol! You get free masks and alcohol with your swine flue suit. Ha, that is too funny. People just need to learn to practice good hygiene and take the necessary precautions to avoid getting sick.
placebo: if you believe the effects work, it will work.obecalp pills, (NOTE: read obecalp backwards), commonly used in medical cases such as headaches, coughing,Social phobias,Nausea, and many other common problems. Well back to the main point of the suit and placebo in flu panic.I HIGHLY DOUBT a suit can keep the germs at bay.A mask(unless haz-mat quality) dose so much. Just keeping alert and using basic cleaning techniques is really all you can do. "The world is not made of NERF your going to get cut but if your careful you won't get badly cut" Penn&Teller.
I think this has a lot to do with supply and demand. The demand for the suits, masks, and alcohol are really high, especially the suits. When this H1N1 thing keeps going, the supply for these items could go down and then the people in Japan will be without protection. I think that the suits don't really protect from the virus, I think that it's kind of like a placebo. It is fooling people into thinking they are safe. I think that the people who made these suits are just making a profit off of everyone's desire to keep away from the flu.
