This is a big problem with all the company bail out money. They get this money to help their business and they pay out bonuses. Come on, to me this is irresponsible leadership and there should have been alot more stipulations put on this money before the company received it.

I think this is a problem and a problem that involves too much money at that. Why would you give out bonuses when we are in a recession? That's just got "bad idea" written all over it. This company is wasting their bailout money and i bet you anything that they will be crying about it later.

This is a bad thing. AIG is a superpower and nobody knows how to handle the money. Instead of trying to get their problems fixed, they are paying themselves for screwing up the worlds economy.
Just because Geitner didn't know didn't mean he shouldn't have found out. We need to get this problem fixed.

This is a very big problem AIG is one of the top firms in the economic market and when they start mishandling there money and begin paying themselves just reassures us that the recession is not over

AIG is dumb and needs to learn how to manage money.

The bailout money given to the companies was used towards frivilous things such as bonuses. That's been established. Guidelines should have been set by the government as to what the company could do with their money instead of just throwing at the wealthy people and making them more wealthy. Nothing screams immature and irresponsible more than this. We're in a recession; people shouldn't be getting bonuses that already have a six figure salary.

Big problem. Why would someone risk so much money when we are already in a recession?
maybe they thought it would help.. but it is so far just making things worse

well, it sucks that AIG is mishandling their money because they are one of the lead companies... Maybe they thought it would help? im thinking not though.. They just probably wanted to secure their wealth..
