I think that this shouldn't even be an issue. Everybody should have health insurance.I think that President Obama's idea to introduce a government sponsored insurance to drive down costs is a good idea because most people, I think, claim that they don't have health insurance because they can't afford it.I think that it is ridiculous how there are qualifications for health insurance. It should be like going to a store to buy something. You want it, you buy it, you got it.

I think that the idea of universal healthcare is a great idea, but it is a dream, it can't happen. The costs to give everybody healthcare would be so high in taxes that it would hurt us. Also, people will get mad if some have to pay for it and some don't and they all get the same coverage. I wish it would work, but it cannot.

I still don't know how i feel about the whole health care plan. At first i thought it was a good idea because i thought it would be a good idea to help those in need so that they can support their children when they need it the most. But lately i thought about it, and i don't like the idea anymore because it affects people like me whose parents work very hard for their money and i don't think we should have to give it away for people who can't even get a job.

I feel that you should not even have to worry about if your going to have enough money for your meds. Or the important operation that is life or death. They should just leave the health care the way it is if they are going to make it worse and not better it!!!!

In my opinion the people still confused about this topic, and don't have the right information. In my case I been folowing this issue closely and hearing the Obama's speechs, and I believe and trust what he said.
Everyone must have acces to health service and is the goverment responsability to keep it like that.
The people think that to have free health care the goverment is going to raise taxes, but Obama said that they won't do that. The money for that will come from the subsides that the goverment is giving to to the health care companies.
Also some people say that the goverment is gonna take total control of the health care. That is not totally true, you still will have the option of choose a private company.
I still don't understand why the people is so afraid of the goverment taking part on their lives, the objetive of the goverment is to help the people not to control them.

Saying and doing are two different things. So what is said about healthcare and what is done about healthcare are opposite. We would strive as a country to provide this healthcare, but then again, would just fail in the end. I believe if my father is capable of working after two back surgeries, then any other John Doe is capable of taking thereself to get a job rather than sitting on a couch drawling minimum unemployment and complaining when they have health issues. Simple as that.

What is said about healthcare and what is done about healthcare are total opposites our country is just not financially stable at this moment to put in place universal healthcare it's just to costly raising taxes on all social classes or not making some classes pay at all and still being able to receive the benefit.

it's difficult for me to try to understand all of the health care issues. i wish health care was not an issue. taxing people to stay healthy is just mad. yet again that's in my opinion.

Obama suggests that everyone should have healthcare. How are they going to get it? Who's going to pay for it? If the gov't regulates healthcare, where is freedom of choice?
The level of poor has been the same for decades as far as the government is concerned. Medicare and Medicaid should have a major overhaul to take into consideration that people are poorer today than they were in 1970'S. You cannot feed a family of 4 the same as you would in 1975. People who cant afford insurance still wont be able to afford insurance with Obama's plan of mandatory coverage.

The health care idea is a good idea in my opinion. Hopefully it will make more jobs in the medical field. But of course taxes will be raised in order to cover people. Maybe if they put some limits on it it will be less costly and more controlled to fit the times.

I'll examine this slide by slide. Government controlled healthcare seems to be a great plan, but it would hurt current health care businesses. Plus, the socialist ideals look good on paper, but can't really function in society. A mandate wouldn't help. That just makes it so that the people who can't afford it get punished for thier shortcomings. The expansion would help a lot of families like mine. We don't qualify for Medicaid or Medicare. Regulation would be efficient but it would take time to figure out the best strategy. And my favorite plan, to tax the rich. It would help the whole country. Some jobs may be hurt or lost, but I think the pro's outwiegh the cons.

I think that this is a bad idea if we go with a less-expensive health care plan. I believe that it would charge hard-workers a lot more and they would basically be paying for people who don't even want to take the chance to try and get a job. Health care should be left alone.

I don't think that the government can make a heath plan for the entire nation. It would cause to much money to be spent when there is already not enough to go around. People should be able to get heath insurance though, and I know most people can't afford it and it would be impossible for every person in the united states to afford it. I don't see Obama doing this even though it would benefit a lot of people.

Healthcare.. I feel like healthcare should just be a given. If people cant afford it, they should be able to get it depending on the situation. Or for a price that is affordable for them. If people aren't being taken care of, what happens to the world? I think that universal healthcare would be a great idea, but its going to take a lot of work to really make it happen.

the helth inshurence is a good idea but the debt that we would go farther into would take years to pay back to get even close to what we even are it would cost trillons of dollars to do. the taxes would put people in bankruptcy

health care, me and my family have medical from the goverment. but some weeks ago they took out my mom and i think thats not fair
we realy need my moms medical because her medicines are way to expensive she is sick of thyroid i think something like that and
my family dont have the money to pay all that.
we really need obama to do something about all those people that are like us.

the healthcare issue in America has become a huge problem. people that need it, like the elderly still can't afford it and i don't think it's quite fair. my opinion is, i think that everybody should have healthcare no matter what because it's a big issue that shouldn't have to be dealt with. But, for some reason, lazy peole can get n welfare and get the healthcare that the people who need it most can't? and i think it's just a bunch of bul

I do not think that universal healthcare would be a good idea. I understand that some people can't afford to have health care, but the government does not have enough money to pay for health care for everyone. Our national debt is already out of control. Why not use the money for this health care plan to help pay off the national debt?

I think if they changed it a bit, universal healthcare would be awesome. But, my parents work very very hard for their money and some people just are too lazy to get a job so they can afford healthcare. If we get the universal healthcare, it will give them even more of an excuse to be lazy ans live off the government and hard working families.
