From what the article says, I would say that the economy was getting better. I don't think it can be completely better until the other two factors are better. It is a very good thing that the unemployment rates have dropped for the first time since april of 2008 and that the job losses have decreased, but that doesn't mean it will be over soon. Things could get worse still.
I am very happy to hear that some people think the the recession is bottoming out. I am hopeful that things are getting better. At my work we have seem an increase in sales which means people are becoming a little looser with there money. Also my 17 year old brother had been looking for a job for about 3 months and 3 weeks ago he was hired at Wendy's.
Things definitly seem to be looking better and people are becoming somewhat looser with their money. And with unemploymant showing signs of improvment, hopefully were slowly pullibg ourselfs out of the recession.
I think that the economy is getting better, but people can't just expect to get back on there feet immedeatly. It is going to take time (years) to get everything straightened out. If you look back in History to the Greaqt Depression, it lasted over 10 years, from 1929 until World War 2. After World War 2, the economy was great. So just give it time and it will all eventually work out
The recession is recovering, we just are not fully recovered yet. All of our historical depressions and recessions didn't get better overnight. Nobody can expect to have everything in their life return to normal by the wave of a hand. I believe that the government has done enough in helping with the recession however. This is like one big scab. We need to stop picking at the thing and now just let it heal on its own!
I think the recession has bottomed out. The article said that in order for the U.S. to stabilize the economy we need to focus on exports, so we shouldn't get to excited yet. In order to focus on exports there have to be other countries wanting imports, and that means wanting them from us if we want to be successful. Another positive is that unemployment rate dropped for the fist time since april of 2008. Hopefully this continues to drop, we need jobs filled to get money in the system.
When the article was written, it said that 6 out of the 10 indicators that predict the economy were improving. This helps me to believe that the recession has hit rock bottom. It's now the end of August and I don't think things have improved much since July. With all the stimulus programs and the cash for clunkers programs that have consumed billions of dollars, it will be hard to get back on our feet because we will be paying those billions off for many generations to come. I wonder how that will effect the economy.
I do believe that the economy is recovering its going to take more time for it to become great but it is getting better. I'm glad to see things are changing
I am glad to know that some people are noticing that we are getting out of the recession. I believe the economist's that are saying that but I am not noticing any change. My dad just got layed off from the city of Hamilton recently and that kind of contradicts it but I hope things continue to get better and I'm sure things will be back to normal in time.
In my opinion the recession has bottomed out. Things are starting to look up and people are retaining their jobs and beginning to find new one slowly. According to the article as of July 6 out of the 10 components of the Economic Index increased. I take that as a good sign. I have high hopes that this will be the end of the recession.
I don't think the recession has ever gottrn to rock bottom. It has gotten close to it though. Thankfully times are getting better. It won't gat better over night. Things like this take a while. But eventually every thing will be back to normal.
Things are looking better for our economy, but things havn't bottomed out completely. The unemployment rates have dropped but many people are still unemployed. Yes, things are getting better, but we still have a long way to go.
I think the economy has alredy hit rock bottom. BUT we are on the rise. With all of the new stimulus things such as the cash for clunkers and the minimum wage going up. I cant wait to see what we look like in the next 8 years!
When people say that they think the recession has hit rock bottom neccesarily they are thinking that it's going to be like the Great Depression, now-a-days the government has more control of things so I believe that it already hit rock bottom. The reality of it is that the economy is getting better, probably not in a timely fashion but it's getting better of course.
I think that our economy is headed in the right direction, but I don't think we are out of it yet. However, with the CARS program and the unemployment rate falling, all signs are pointing toward a stable economy again very soon.
If you look to see where our economy is now with the recession, people would finally begin to say that the recession has bottomed out and should begin to rise again very soon. With all the programs that are helping stimulate the economy, we should be up and going very soon.
Rockbottom, I definantly wouldn't classify this recession with that label as of now. This recession had taken time for us to get ourselves into and isn't exactly going to be with speed exiting. With the United States still in an abundant debt, I highly doubt this so called "uprising" of the recession will continue to rapidly grow as some claim.
The economy is getting better but it has yet reach a point to say it is completely over. Although unemployment rates have been lowered things like repossessions and home foreclosures rise. The necessary steps for ending this recession are being taken but it may be far from over.
Thats awesome to hear that so many people think that the recession are starting to end. I really feel as if things are starting to calm down and are getting better. I think things are starting to get back to where they were. Its going to be rough for a little while but i truly feel things are getting better
After reading this article, I believe that the recession is close to being over. Due to the unemployment rate has dropped finally since 2008. I still think it will be some time before the economy bounces back. But at this rate it won't be to long.
I am no expert, but from the looks of it I would say that the economy is getting better.Even if it is a slow road, its getting back on its feet.It will take awhile for things to be good again,it could take years.Even though there are good guesses,no one knows for sure how much longer this recession is going to last.I think that the recession has already hit its low point. Its all uphill from here.Things will continue to get better but it will be a slow recovery.
The economy is improving nicely. Not to the point where it has bottomed out. There is definitely work to be done. The unemployment rates are definitely still not where they need to be but they have gotten slowly better. It is good to see some improvement. I think the end is in sight.
no the recession hasn't hit rock bottom, people are losing jobs so there are alot of unemployment, and it's hard for them to find new ones, alot of people houses are getting foreclosed, and it's alot of people homeless, so alot of people are relying on the government!
I think that the recession has bottomed out. The unemployment rate is slightly decreased and the job losses have decreased dramatically. I have seen more and more places hiring not firing
I think that the economy is getting better. My mom is actually starting to go back to work more, after being laid off for awhile. Also the new mall just opened up where i work, and people are opening up credit cards for the Gap store. So maybe people are starting to have money again.
I think that the recession is leveling out. People are getting jobs and are making money. It's going to take time for things to get back to normal, but so far, we're on the right track.
I think that the recession is leveling out. People are getting jobs and are making money. It's going to take time for things to get back to normal, but so far, we're on the right track.
i really think that the recession is bottoming out like the article says, because it seems like that it's so much easier to find a job than it was last year.
No, I do not believe that the recession has hit rock bottom, yet. Things are looking much better than they were at first... there are more jobs. Yes, I agree, with the indicators because if America focuses on the exports then there will be many more economic gains. We would be slowly pulling ourselves out of this recession.
While it's good that things seem to improving, I'm not sure it will be resolved quickly. Even if it bottoms out, we don't really know how long it will be before we begin to improve again.
Many people are running out of the Unemployment benefit. 18month payments. They have no choice but to work at McDonalds (part-time). So of course the # of unemployment claims have decreased. I think this is a false ray of sunshine. I believe the recession will level out when we see job creation statistics that surpass the job loss statistics. Remember those folks writing the reports still have a job and a paycheck so its beneficial for them to write about a possible come-back.
In some aspects the recession is getting better, but in others it's getting worse. Our main problem lies in the fact that we can't do today what we did to get out of the Great Depression. Our "New Deal" fades in comparison (<- can't spell) to the "Old Deal". The key factor in breaking from the Great Depression was the war. That plan couldn't possibly work for us since it was partially a war that got us in this mess. What we need to do is stop relying on foriegn companies for most of our products. I mean, let's face it. The majority of product in the US from toys to car were made in another country. If we give those jobs back to americans, it may be the stimulus our economy needs.
I don't think that the recession has his 'rock bottom' per say, but it has gotten to the point to where things are going to start to get better. unemployment rates are dropping and consumer spending is increasing.
It is great that we are getting out of the recession and that our economy is improving. But we aren't out yet. We are still in debt and the recession is still here. We are so deep into this recession that no matter what we do it is still going to take a very long time to get out.
It's great to hear that experts are saying that we are recovering from this. I know that many of us want to believe that it has "bottomed out" but others can't believe because they are still suffering from its consequences. Hopefully by the end of this year things will have completely finished up and everyone can focus on the new year with a better start.
I mean, according to the article, i guess we're somewhat beginning to recover from the recession. Things could still get worse and we could lose more jobs than already have been. But, still we have a lot more people that still need help and homes to be sold so i wouldn't quite say we're out of the woods yet. there's still al ot of things we need to work out in the economy.
some people believe that the economy is getting better. i believe that its getting better also, but there is still a lot of unemployment out there. it is really hard for some people to get jobs and support their family. The recession is getting closer to the end but i don't believe its over until unemployment rates decrease.

It's good that the recession is recovering, even though it says no single indicator that marks an official recovery.

The recession has not hit rock bottom yet. The recession accually is starting to get better. We should be out in the next few years.

Its good to hear the recession has hit bottom. this will help businesses get more profit. it will hopefully keep getting better from here.
