It isn't very surprising to me that so many people in the United States are on foodstamps at this time in our economy the way that it is. Unfortunately, I know a few people who are on foodstamps. One being my family. It is one of the BIGGEST helps ever. I not only know people that are on food stamps but some people that make JUST above the line for food stamps.This causes them to suffer a lot of the time trying to scrape up enough money for food and bills.
After reading this article I was really surprised that 32.2 million Americans are on foodstamps. I was not surprised that these numbers have been increasing recently. This just goes to show how much the recession is hurting Americans and how many people out there need help to survive.
When I read this article about foodstamps I had thought is would be an unbelieveable ratio. The ratio is one to ten. But with the unemployment rate so high this is the only way people can survive and surviveal is great. The foodstamps program is a great program!
I work at a grocery store and see how many food stamp cards go through the lines. 32.2 million americans on food stamps? not a surprise. I was also not surprised in the recent increase either, we are in a recession. However these numbers are sad to see, and i hope they decrease.
I knew a lot of people were probably getting food stamps due to rising unemployment but 32.2 million is ahuge number! I cannot believe that. but they help out families in need, families trying to get by but sometimes just cant make it.
It's sad, but if unemployment is up then it's to be expected that the number of people who recieve food stamps is going to be up too. It's not a great situation, but it is a good thing that there are programs in place that help people through tough times. I know a handful of people that are arrogant about being financially well off and it always upsets me when they say negative things about the food stamp system.
I Don't See Anything Wrong With Food Stamps As Long As You Use Them Wisely Because Some People Are Just Getting Them For The Heck Of It. I Didn't Know That 32.2 Million Though Had Food Stamps, I Think Alot Of People Have Food Stamps Because Of The Unemployment Rate.
That many on food stamps, thats crazy, People that have food stamps don't really need them, the government needs to pay close attention to what is going on in the world and who they are giving free stuff too.
I am not surprised at all that there are so many people on food stamps. People are losing jobs and cannot find others so they relay on the government to help them out. If there are, no food stamps then what will people eat if they do not have a job and cannot find one?
It is surely not the best thing for our economy now but it is difficult for people out there to provide for themselves with this situation.
Im not surprised that so many people are on foodstamps. The economy is so bad that it really isnt a surprise anymore. Its a little surprising that there are 32.2 million, i didnt really expect that many but i guess it makes sense with the economy the way it is
When 32.2 million Americans are on food stamps, it shows how much this economy is in recession. I wasn't caught off gaurd by it though because there are alot of poor people in our world and the number is only going to increase because of the unemployment rate increasing. But if this is a help to poor lower class families then I think they should keep this option available.

32.2 million of people using food stamps is a substanstial number. Im surprise that it is that high, i knew it would be high but wow. Im glad we have a program that can help people out.
