What does it have to do with Dayton's economy? It has a good hand in it. They better and more the arena can sell brings more money into the city. If they host a big game that means a lot of people would need places to stay, a place where they can get food, and since they are coming from another city. They might want to do a little shopping so I think it will help the city out even more. Especially if they can get a chance to host more games.

As long as UD continues to host NCAA tournament games, then this tradition will continue to help out the Dayton economy. The estimated $8 million impact on the region is not a bad result of the games at all.

Having some of the NCAA tournament games in Dayton is a great boost for the Dayton area economy. With the huge attention that the tournament games create, the Dayton area benefits greatly. These games bring huge amounts of people into Dayton who along with attending these games, stay in hotels, shop, and eat in Dayton. These games bring lots of money and attention to the Dayton area.

Having tournament games at UD will do nothing but help UD. Its a great things for the university as well as the city of dayton. with people coming from all over the nation, people will need to stay in hotels and go out to eat. Universities bring in big bucks from athletics every year. Having the final 4 in Detroit this year will hopefully help them in some way.

This could really help boost the economy in our area if they continue placing these games in Dayton. Fans have to find hotels that are around the area and restuarants and all those types of things so it really helps us out

As long as Dayton basketball is remaining popular, Dayton will see profit. All business will gain because people always jump on band-wagon teams and even restaurants around the stadium will gain. And if there are more games at UD then people from all over will travel and be using things locally in Dayton.

this is very good. if dayton can bring in $8 million every basketball season that would be awesome. and now it will host the womens tournament as well that is even better. now all that have to do is get people to want to come during the off season

This Is Simply Amazing, I Would Have Never Thought That This Could Actually Help Boost Our Economy. AS Long As Dayton Stays Popular This Would Really Help, We Need That $8 Million Dollar Boost Lol.

Basketball being hosted in Dayton helps out Dayton alot. people that go to see the game have to pay for the tickets they have to play for food they have to pay drinks they have to pay for a good seat they have to pay for jerseys if they want one and its a chain of money that helps out dayton economically. If they can keep hosting they will have more cash in their pockets.

As long as Ud keeps hosting the NCAA tournament games i think that this tradition will continue helping out the economy in Dayton. The games bring large groups of people to the area to eat and shop while attending the games!

Having big basketball tournaments at UD is great for a very poor city. The 8 million dollar expected impact its great to have. Basketball makes a big impact because of the people it attracts and them not only spending money at the games but also at hotels, restaurants, and stores.

This is a really good thing. But they did say with this economy people do need to start spending money to jump start the economy again. But everyone is too scared to so hopefully this will encourage spending

I think the games in UD have a big effect in Dayton's economy. The arena brings in more people into the city for games which people have to pay for in order to attend, and extra purchases besides paying for your actual seat. Plus tourists usually shop when they come into another city. So UD's games have a big impact, especially if they start hosting more & more games.
