Despite daily headlines bemoaning record gas prices, the U.S. is actually one of the cheaper places to fill up in the world. Do you feel so bad about what we are paying now?
I think that the U.S. has the right to gripe about the price of gas, but just not as much as many other countries do. For this reason I think it is very important that our government makes car companies start trying to produce some more fuel efficient and alternative fuels. In the past as a country we have really dropped the ball in this category but i believe that is the government's respnsibllility.
I think it is up to our government to come up with a plan to fix this problem. i know america's have had some of the cheepest gas for a while, but we also do not have much mass transit. we basically have to walk or drive a car. there are hardly any other choices. something has to be done to either lower gas prices or make the transportation system more efficient.
I believe that the U.S. has the right to gripe about the price of oil, just as the article states countries in Europe have a higher currency of money therefore, they can pay higher amounts.Oil is priced on dallors. Since, the Euro is higher in currency it may not be as expensive to them as we all see it.(that dosen't mean it isn't)
Yes, its true that we don't have it as bad as other countries, but still the goverment has to take matters into thier hands. The goverment has to come up with ways to become more oil independent.(like making more fuel efficient cars and homes as well.)
