Money may be able to buy happiness for a short about of time, but it can not buy happiness forever. You'll be happy with the things you have until something cooler or better cmes out next. Then you want that things so you can have it before someone else gets and when you see that you can't get it you get upset. So yeah money does provide a happy stable life but hey you never know when something is going to run out and then what do you do?
I dont think money can keep you happy for that long. You could buy a lot of things that make you happy but eventually you will get tired of them. If you are rich and you have no friends or anyone, you might not be that happy.
I definately agree with the author here because I have seen a lot of my friends' parents lives and marriages ruined due to over work for want of money. I can truely say that I am happy with how much I have right now. Granted, I am 17 and live with my parents, but I see the way that a lot of my brother's and sister's friends, straight out of college, live. I would be happy with their situations. So, I figure that I am in good shape.
i feel like this is so true. people seem to be focused on money and only money. they do not care about the simple things in life. people get so wrapped up in material things and forget that they will not always be there. people need to learn to focus on what truly makes them happy and not what they think will make them happy.
can money buy happiness? i think the answer to that question is yes and no. i can go out all day everyday and but all kinds of things that will make me happy. who knows how long that happiness will last but yes it can buy happiness. but money cannot buy everything. so i think the question varies for everyone. if money can buy everything that would make you happy then yes it definately can buy happiness. but if you want something more in life than the material things that money can get you then you sooner or later will not be satisfied with what you have
I feel money can buy you happiness, but only for a short amount of time. It can't buy you true happiness. Money may be able to buy you nice things, but after awhile will you truly be happy? I think not...
I do not believe having money will make a person happy. I believe having much can make one's life a lot less stressful. Although Having a large amount money allows you to not worry about things that a lot of Americans have to worry about on an every day basis. But money alone will not buy happiness, it just gives you a lot less things you have to worry about.
The one thing to me that can bring you true happiness is the person that you decide to spend the rest of your life with. That one specail person can truly buy happiness. As he said,"My wife still looks good at age 69". Its that person that you have a conection with that will never be lost. That person will always look good in your mind. Everybody has that specail person in their life and I would be willing to bet that 90% of us never find them. Money helps, but I would spend that money on the one that I hope will bring me true happiness.
There is a difference between comfort and happiness. Many people think they are happy, but are only comfortable. Happiness is not determined by the measure of one's assets. I do not know the science. I could be wrong. But I would not want my happiness to be on the foundation of thin, green pieces of paper that can disappear in stocks, be stolen by thieves, and gone in moments. Because, if my happiness holds hands with money, cannot my happiness be taken just as quickly. I would rather put my Faith in a Rock that is far more firm than that.
money cannot buy happiness it can only pretend to bring happiness and once that this money is gone people become no longer happy but greedy instead. In their search for more money, few people come realize that money doesn't buy happiness.
I dont think money can buy happiness because you will never be satisfied with it. The more money you get the more greedy your going to get and the more money you will want. I mean look at all these big celebrities who are rich but alot of them dont look happy to me with the drug problems and it seems like only keep a marriage for a couple years.
