I dont think it is worth paying over 50 dollars for a childs toy. Kids usually dont play with their toys for very long after they get them so it is pointless to spend a lot of money on a toy. Parents are willing to pay a lot to make their child happy but since the kid doesn't use the toy for a long time it is a waste of money. I think toys should not cost as much as they do now unless its something that is educational like the leap frog.
I'm not meaning to sound like an old grandpa ranting and mumbling about the "good ol' days". But I must say that it is pretty disturbing for me to read people talking about toys as if they are punnet squares, about play time as if it is some sort of science. I say, leave it to the experts - the children. They know what they want. Who would have thought that imagination would have been replaced with a toy that does all the imagining for them? Perhaps these very smart adults need to sit down at a board meeting with some 7-10 year olds.
I don't think parents should spend much on toys for their children anyways. If you think about it, how many "toys" did you use after the first week you had it. Children will be happy with just about anything. Don't spend a lot. $15-20 is good price range.
50 dollars is an outragious price for a stupid toy. you could by something else with that money or even save it up. kids are spoiled and they dont need all these toys. its ridiculous.
