The Cost Of Showing You Care

The market will always be large for Valentines day. There is nothing that seems more important to Americans than SHOWING that they love someone, and as long as people want to do that (forever) the market will be there to satisfy that need with over priced chocolate and sparkly jewlery.

Ok being one of the many who didnt really celebrate v-day... i think that paying a lot for valentines is really quite silly....but if i ever have a valentine on
v-day i'll probally think different. But even then i will still just expect like chocolae and a card at the most. so i guess this is kind of hypocritical but not very much.

Wow $123 is a lot of money for one person. But I probably say this because I do not have someone that I want to spend that on.... or at least on something as usless as Candy and flowers. Jewelery makes more sense but i don't think that i will buy a girl jewelery until i propose to her. Anyways i guess i am just cheap but I am ok with that.

i thought it was pretty cool that the most romantic age group is 18-24. then shortly after that they said that the older people tend to spend more money. that just shows that you dont neccisarly have to spend loads of money to show your valentine how you feel. i think the amounts of money that everyone spends on this holiday is crazy.

I have never spent more than twenty dollars on valentines day. But when I become an adult I will most likely become one of those guys that do spend more than $123. That box of chocalates and a dozen of beautiful red and white roses is what any girl truly wants for valentines day. They may say that they don't want anything, but thats your first cue that they do. Every guy falls for it on Valentines and thats how America spends so much on Valentines day.

people always say that valentines day is just a marketing thing. they do not realize that it is the one day of year that is dedicated to people in love. even though people spend a lot of money it's their chance to.

Some people spend way too much money on valentines day. I dont think$123 is too much. If you care about someone and want to show them, you dont have to go out and spend a lot of money. But i guess if they are worth it then I'd spend a lot.

I personally do not like valentines day. I not a person that is all about going out and spending money for a holiday when you could just show the love you have for someone with out spending the tons of money people do. I just do not see the point of spending all that money when you can use it for something more productive. There's a difference between flowers and chocolates and then rings for someone who your JUST dating.

I dont see anything wrong with spending $120 on valentines it only comes once a year and seems like it really helps the economy.I mean if a company makes 10% of its profit on valentinesday thats pretty good.I think holidays in general are good especially seeing how were in a recession right now.

I celebrated Valentines Day this year. Yes, $120 is a lot of money, but it is not too much to show someone you care about that you really do care. A lot of people make a huge deal about Valentines Day. Mainly females, so as a male you feel pressured to spend a lot of money and really show that you care.
