America is having quite a few problems at the moment, but I agree with the Author of this article that we are still the best and most powerful country in the world. There are many things we should improve and change though, obviously. However, I think people should focus more on making life better for everyone and not just "their country" because, if you think about it, nationality means nothing. I'm afraid of China though. They're going to take over the world if someone doesn't stop them.

Are america's best days behind us? No they can't be. A question of determination and stupidity. What are the best day? Yes the economy is bad, but instead of competing with the other countries and trying to be #1 we should just work on self improvement. It's not that our best days are behind us, but that the good days just have not come yet.

After reading the article "Are America's Best Days Behind Us?", I agree that nothing very great is happening. Our economy and military are always on top of every other nations, but we aren't doing anything life changing like in the 50's and 60's. We made history by electing our first African American president, but we aren't making any drastic changes to our lives like Martin Luther King JR. did. I feel like our days might not be over yet, but we have many years ahead of us to accomplish things.

America is facing more problems than i expected to read about in terms of our countries ranks. I had a feeling that we were lowering in terms of education in comparison but I was surprised to see our standings as far as average life expectancy. I personally always figured we were on top of everything. Its terrible to hear that our countries top rankings are in guns and obesity. American is slowing slipping behind and we need to get back on top of things.

Are America's best days behind us? No i don't think so at all. I know our country is having a lot of problems, and i don't think our economy is going to get better anytime soon but, but we should be more focused on what we can do to change that.

With all this talk of "economic downturns" and recession, it would not be too hard to believe that the best is behind us. But it is not in the american spirit to just give up and give in to a few problems. No, americans work through problems. If its with oil or food, we WILL find an innovative way to drive the price down so that its available to all that will need it.

Everyone has their high and low times. Right now American is having many problems, but that doesn't mean that our best days are behind us. We still have time to improve and become a greater country. I personally think that our best days are still to come. Hopefully America can get on top of things. It would be great to be number one or close to that in education compared to the other countries.

No matter how bad our country may struggle I will always feel we are number one. Like the author, it does make me nervous that other countries are rising like china. Their kids in education are much higher than ours. Being ranked in the 70s for elementry enrollment is dissapointing. I don't feel we should make the our best days the past, we should make everyday our best in history. We can make changes in this country people need to stop being lazy and force their kids to learn and go to school. To me Americans are capable of doing many things.

America will most likely pull through, we're supposedly the strongest country in the world, we can get through a tough time. America will be fine and I know we won't go down without a fight.

America is having issues at the moment, but what country doesn't have those times. I do not believe that Americas glory days are over. I believe they are coming again people just have to have faith in our country. Everyone has bad days but you do not see them in bad times for the rest of their lives. America will bounce back, trust and believe that :)

Alright i think the united states is a very strong country in the world but my no means are we 'STRONG' our economy sucks and if you think about it were just kind of big dumb idiots! if you compare us to people the united state is like the big bully on the playground that gets horrible grades in school and then fails in future life. we have a lot of good intentions but i think we need to learn to use them differently. the united states needs desperately to improve.

I firmly believe that the best of our days are yet to come, what with all the innovation that occurs every year, who knows what we will be in a few years time. I think we are still a super power, but we need to be more careful and make better choices about who we ally with and who we take up arms against. However if we are careful and continue to make leaps and bounds in the realm of improvement whose to say where we will be in a few years?

America's Best Days aren't behind us, we just haven't had any in a while. Our economy and various ratings agains other countries are declining, and we aren't solving it the right way. Big cuts are being taken from education, which is the last thing it needs to be taken from. Education in the US seems to be losing it's value, and we already pale in comparison to that of other countries. It should have better funding to give kids better educations so they'll actually want to learn, leading to better jobs and futures.

The author of this article said something that i respect a lot. He said that this is still the best, and most powerful country, despite our numerous problems. Though our country is in turmoil at the moment, and economic times are rough, it is better than being somewhere else. Look at things in Egypt. Things could definitely be worse.

I don't think that Americas best days are behind us, but they may be in the very distant future. For one, with our education lacking the way it is, including the recent budget cuts things are not looking very good. We have tons of technological innovations each year but they fall short compared to the things we were doing in the 50's and 60's. Hopefully congress will think of something to get us out of trouble.

I feel like America could be doing more life changing things. I mean we have achieved many new changes recently but not many things that people will really remember for years and years to come. America has many problems and we need to try to change these issues.

The question of "are americas best days behind us" is in my opinion obviously easy to answer. Of course not. we are such a strong country and we have always fought for our rights and fought for everything we wanted that we don't take no for an answer. This downfall is traumatic but it is not the end or "best days"

In this article i believe that the best days are behind us is not really true. We haven't had much accomplishment in the past little bit and we are falling behind drastically when it comes to education.I don't think we should worry so much about whos ranked where and focus on how we can pull ourselves out of this. I feel like our best days haven't come yet but they will soon eventually.

I think that America is the BEST country out of all the countries in this world and I don't think that America's best days are over. We are going through a rough patch right now but I believe in this country and i think that we will rise up again. I think that instead of worrying about other countries and what they are doing and if we just focused on America and whats going on here then we would have nothing to worry about.

"Are America's Best Day's Behind Us?" is an article that I think is very inspirational. I love how the author starts by talking about things that our country is great at and things we are known for, Such as building the first interstate highway and being the first to introduce public schooling. Then she goes to the topic of the things that we are struggling at now. We used to be number one in a lot. Now we are placed low in areas. Our college students are low, and our elementary education is also rated low. These things need to change and our country has the ability and potential to do so.

I definitely don't think our best days are behind us. We might be going through some tough times right now and it seems like we're never going to get out of this recession, but in time we will definitely begin to grow and prosper as we used to. I honestly think in the next 20 years we will be on top by much more than we have ever been and we're going to grow exponentially with new technological advances.

This article was interesting to read about. I personally agree with the Author of this article that we as a nation are still the most powerful in the nation. I think many of us are brought up that way, with the idea that America will always be the best country in the world. However, the U.S. is experiencing some rough times right now, and it's a little frightening to know that other countries are excelling in areas that we as a nation are lacking in. For instance, China has passed in the area of education. There are so many things we as a country need to change. Things such as health care, unemployment, and the oil crisis. With this being said, America will alwasy be number 1 in my eyes, although obviously my opinion is a little biased.

"Are America's Best Days Behind Us?" Is an inspiring article. Although America has its moments, I believe that we are one of the best countries out there. I think if people would just focus more on how we can make our country better, rather than how we, as individuals can make our lives better, then we can achieve so much more.

I think that the U.S does have some problems right now but, as an American I don't think we are going to be out for long in the race. We have problems and who doesn't? We can fix stuff and thats just what we will have to do like improving education, getting all the cuts of programs figured out, lowering our countries debt and many other things. We are not an old nation and we are having problems but we will bounce back and be a even great power in the world.

America may be having a few problems, but i wouldn't say that we are done doing good things. Our country is one of the best and we are just in a little down fall but there are so many things changing in the world that we are bound to have something good to happen to us.

I dont think americas best days are behide us. this country has gone threw many trails and got though them. were lucky to be able to vote on what ways are best to help us instead of just a "leader" picking wat is best for us.
