Read this article about adults going back to college. Why is this necessary? Do you know anyone that has returned to college as an adult? Did this help them in finding a job?

I believe that adults going back it college is only necessary due to the market because, as of now, economists expect standard labor positions to start cutting unemployment. Also, a degree does not mean you'll be hired. With the horrid market, finding a good job is terribly hard and , the more you specialize, the harder it is to find a job in that certain field. People need to start opening all of their options and planning what is best for them, whether it be to get a college degree, or go into manual labor.
My dad got drafted into minor league baseball for the Phillies right out of high school and missed the college opportunity. After he injured his knee and his career ended, he went back later to earn his associate's degree to help get him a better job. Right now he is working on getting his bachelor's degree. So yes, I think earning your degree and going back to college always helps your chances of finding a job.
It's to anyone that has dropped out of college to return, it's increases the chances of finding a better, higher paying job. I know my uncle had returned back to college and he's doing alot better than he did when he first got out of high school. Many jobs require a college degree just for an interview. This is a life lesson alot of people need to learn.
I think its that adults have to have a college degree or have to go back to school to get a degree because college can ensure you a job for your life. My mom has a degree and she is not rich at all but she doesn't really have to worry about money because she went to college
I do think it is necessary to be technically educated in your field of work. College is where you get the necessary skills to work in specific field of work. MY step dad went back to school to get his BA in networking and this did help him find a job at the company Seimen'. Fields like this would be impossible to work at without a college degree.
It is completely necessary for some adults to go back to college if they need to. I know one adult that has gone back to college to get their masters degree I believe. The man was an electrician and had to get a kidney replacement and wasn't able to do that type of work anymore. When he recovered he went back to college to get his degree in accounting. He did this to better the life of his family.
I feel that many adults go back to school to make themselves more competitive in the job market. With most of the younger generation entering in to the job market with a college degree, adults are being forced back into school to get work. One person who has done this was my father. He was able to go to school online and get a degree that enabled him to get a better paying, and more secure job.
