It should help because more money will be running in and we need more so it will help out alot Because it will bring more money in and we need that

My views on the 30 cent jump is that it will be helpful. Many people in middletown need high pay. As for my household i don't think it will have a huge impact on us.

I think that the increase in minimum wage will actually work. It might cause the company's to have a couple of problems, but it'll help the workers. In the tough times, it will give my family, and many other families, more money to work with for everyday things.

i think if min wage for ohio goes up it would be so helpful. any job that young teens or adults do for min wage most likely is worth more money. people work very hard for the money they earn and especially with seasonal jobs it takes a lot of strength to put up with all those angry people.

It might cause the company's to have problems, but it'll help the workers. it will give people more money to have and spend during these tough times and with it being the holidays. i know any person and family would welcome a rise in min wage.

it could help, but as Jim Brock said "A stronger economic recovery would make the minimum wage increase less of an issue," so right now, its an issue until things get moving this really wont change my life at home, my dad earns above minimum wage, so unless his employer is required to raise all employees wages, nothing will happen differently.

Raising minimum wage will help a lot of the workers that are less fortunate than others. People will earn more money and there fore be able to live better and easier lives. Raising minimum wage may have a few problems at first but it will eventually straighten out and be a good thing.

I believe that the increase in minimum wage could help. Although it may be difficult for some businesses to deal with, it will definitely help the employees. Times have been tough recently for many, and this will definitely help them out.

The only negative consequence of this could be a possible rise in the cost of basic goods, which could definitely be a reality. but since everyone makes more money the cost would be less of an impact. This is a great thing. We should do this a lot more often.

I think the 30 cent raise will be helpful in a lot of ways. Personally i think that everybody will be able to have more money and thats good for me so i will like this rise.

I think that I don't really care since I don't have a job and when I did I got paid more than minimum wage so it's whatevvvvsssssss. But other people need that money to buy the things they don't need like drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. But what can you do?

I think the increase in minimum wage will certainly help. Even if not by much, in today's economy, people will take what they can get. What Jennifer said about it not affecting her much may have been true. However, not everyone gets paid over minimum wage, and not everyone who does needs the money for things like cigarettes or drugs. With gas prices rising, many people would prefer to be able to drive than be able to buy drinks.
Having worked for minimum wage, I think an increase would certainly help, since every penny helps.

A 30 cent increase would be amazing, thats an extra 12 dollars on a 40 hour work week, it doesn't sound like much, but i'd rather have it then not!

It will help me!! YES!! 7.70 an hour. When you work all of Thanksgiving day, and don't make time and a half, and your paycheck after that really sucks, you get really mad. But the government can take 50 bucks out of my 300 dollar paycheck, when I'm poor. This isn't going to help. Nothing is going to help, except electing Ron Paul. END THE FED!!!!

I think that this will be helpful and could possibly work. It'll give people more money for the holidays and help them out greatly. I don't think this will have much of an impact on my life though.

My opinion on the 30 cent increase on minimum wage is that it will help and hurt the economy. I say this because minimum wage at $7.4didn't help the economy so why increase it? I think that it will help the people working but not the economy itself. It will not really help or hurt me in my household because I am the only one that works here in my house.

Yes, I think rising minimum wage helps a lot of people out. I'm not sure about my household since everyone is making well over the minimum wage, but for the less fortunate families in Middletown; of course. The 30 cents that was added can be a big difference in what a family needs to get by. In my opinion, they should have did this a long time ago ; maybe some of the unemployed workers would still have a job today.

I do believe that the increase in minimum wage will be helpful. At first, it may cause some problems, but in the long run I think it really help the economy and our community. This increase of minimum wage does not affect me or my household because no one in my household has a minimum wage job.
