  1. To pay for all these bailouts we need to sell star wars masks like in the advertisement. We've already bailed out Greece with Chinas money, why do we have to keep giving our hard earned borrowed moneys to pay for the Euros over printing and Irelands over borrowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. i dont think that they should have bailed out ireland because now every country that has any trouble will want a bailout an they cant afford to bail everyone out.

  3. Bailing Ireland out was probably the right thing to do, but if countries keep bailing other countries out then every country will soon be in a hole. Economies across the worlds are just like the United States and this is a prime of sample of what happened in our country accept here it was much more money and businesses.

  4. I feel bad for Dublin. No ones wants to have to be bailed out. If Europe keeps bailing everyone out they're going to end up more broke they are. Hopefully whats seems like a world wide recession will end soon.

  5. I think that Ireland getting bailed out was a good thing for them. Although, I think that other countries may take advantage of this. It seems like the entire world is in a deep recession, that I hope will end very soon.

  6. While bailing out Ireland was probably a good thing to do, alot of other European countries do not have the funds to continue to help each other out. This is a prime example to those who only believe that the United States is the only country in such a deep recession like this. If Ireland is already getting bailed out, what country in Europe will be next?

  7. This is so insane how a whole country needs a bailout! It was pretty bad that we needed to bail out our major industries, but a whole country?? this is a set up for failure for ireland but i understand they need money to sustain themselves but looking to others for help because your government failed takes the trust away from your country!

  8. I think bailing out Ireland was a good thing. If we just let them fall that could kill the entire world economy. Think if Ireland were like Bear Sterns. That could have sent us into a world recession lasting for around twice as long as the one in the United States lasted.

  9. We are always helping a country by giving them money when we don't even have any ourselves. Yes, we do need to help other countries but not with financial aid we need to find different ways to aid.

  10. Bailing Ireland out was the right thing to do but if we have to continue to bail countries out then the whole world will be in a huge predicament. This whole world is just a huge mess.

  11. Bailing out Ireland was a good thing to do but countries cant keep doing tis because it will at some point make us have to be bailed out.

  12. well bailing out another country was nice but this debt we got on our own hands is pretty important too. But we deffinately should not do this for others all the time.

  13. It is sad to see Ireland in such a terrible situation, but it is a little bit of a relief to know that the United States isn't the only country that is having economic woes. It was probably best that Ireland was bailed out, but at the same time how many countries can they bail out before there isn't any money left. Hopefully the economy improves soon because the whole world is in dire need of an economic turn around.

  14. Ireland was hit hard by the recent recession and there was no other option besides bail them out. The euro gets a reassurance of its stability and value and the Irish get rid of some debt, a win win, compared to the other option, which would be another recession. Ireland is a very prideful country but needed to take the bailout for the great good, which it did.

  15. Pretty soon other countries in Europe will need bailouts. And then what; bankrupt contenient? Something is seriously going to have to change with the worlds economy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. If we keep bailing out other countries, we will be in need of a bail out ourselves.

  17. I think it's nice that we bailed out Ireland but we really don't have the money to be doing that. We don't have money ourselves and everyone in this time is having struggles. I don't think others should rely on someone to bail them out, because we can't do it for everyone. We desperately need a turn around in our economy.

  18. Since bailing out Ireland was most likely a good thing to do, alot of other European countries do not have the funds to continue to help each other out. This is a prime example to those who only believe that the United States is the only country in such a deep recession like this. If Ireland is already getting bailed out, what country in Europe will be next?

  19. i feel bad that they had to be bailed out but they needed it, Bad. But It Seems Like Some Other Countries Might Try To Take Advantage Of That. This Will Hopefully End Soon. So That We Don;t End Up In A Worldwide Recession.

  20. Though bailing out Ireland was morally right, it cannot be the best idea financially. If countries keep on bailing each other, it will have a domino effect, and soon the entire world will be in deep recession and debt.

  21. I think it was very generous for england to bailout ireland and it was the right thing to do. It does seem pretty crazy that a whole country needs a bailout though. I hope the U.S. doesn't go down this road too.

  22. Wonderful, another nations economy colapsses, where will this trend in. if anyone is going to bail out Ireland, it's gonna be the res of Europe obviously, however, it could cause some unstablilty in the helping nations, causing more of them to collapse, so when it comes to bailing them out, there needs to be some caution, or they could end up in a world of trouble

    ReplyDelete
  23. They need to bail out Ireland because it is a team effort to keep the world's economy stable, and we need every country to be healthy to keep it strong so we have nothing to worry about

    ReplyDelete
  24. I agree that it could be a good or bad idea to bail out countries like Ireland because
    - We could have important economic ties with them but,
    - We can't just keep bailing out other countries all the time.... should be well thought out.

  25. How can the United States bail out Ireland? We are over 13 trillion dollars in debt and counting. You would think Ireland would ask for help from a country who could actually help themselves.I feel bad that Ireland went bankrupt, but the U.S. should've let a closer nation help them.

  26. one countrys economy can affect the who world. people should help each other out so that the whole world doesnt go into a recession.

  27. Every country will be wanting a bail out now that Ireland has one. We can't afford to bail out everyone. It would be an end to the ecomomy as we know it. D: that would be horrible.

  28. The second country in seven months, the European officals bailed out Ireland. It was probaly a good thing but also it could bring bad things. Since they have bailed out two countrie then other countries in help will expect the help when thay are in help. But to their surprise, the help may or may not come.

  29. Bailing out Ireland was the right thing to do, but we cannot keep helping other countries because it will cause the United States to be in even more debt than we already are.

  30. Its good that our country is trying to help thers and by being generous by bailing them out but during the time period that were in, it probably wasnt the best choice. Our country is struggling alreay then we want to go help bailout another country? I dont think its such a smart move.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think it's like a domino effect. Once they bail out one country, other countries will want bailed out too and so on and so on. I think no one truly wants to be bailed out, but in a serious situation, the bail out is the only way to stop making it worse.

    ReplyDelete
  32. With bailing out Ireland, this is going to cause many other countries to be wanting a bail out. It's not fair the United States is bailing other countries out, when we have our own money to worry about.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Its not fair that they bailed Ireland out.. now all the other countries will wnat that for them if they got into trouble

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bailing out countries is nice. But if one country bails out another country, then all the rest of the countries that needs bailing will want one too. With all the countries in the world that needs help, we don't have enough to try to help all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  35. they shouldn't have bailed out ireland because now everytime a country wants bailed out they expect us to do it. and we dont really have the money to be bailing anyone out. we need ourselves bailed out.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I do not think that they should have bailed out ireland. Now that they have bailed them out, every country is going to want the same treatment.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think that bailing out Ireland was a good thing. Just letting them fail could potentially be bad for the whole economy. Plus by bailing them out if there comes a time when we need help they might think of this and decide to help out.

  40. This is stupid. Why would we bail out another place that needs money when we need it ourselves. Flinbertyjinnit.

  43. I feel like bailing Ireland out was a good thing to do. however, we barely have enough money to keep THIS country alive. WE ARE ALREADY IN DEBT!!! Unless all the countries were bailing out can give us money in return, then the whole entire monetary system for the whole world will fail.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ireland got a bailout? news to me. I guess Europe will probably be next. what a mess this poor old world is in, with china slowly destroying us all!

  45. Ireland is a small country, so the failure of it's banks will be more devastating. However, it is it's small size that will help it to recover faster, and require less socialist interference than say, a large country would.

The Euro is just a bad idea anyway. Socialist money for socialist countries. It lowers the value of all the countries that decided to accept the currency. The value of the euro plummeted, and so did the countries that went a long with it...All of these countries adopted a socialist system when they decided to merge the currency and become an economic union...socialism DOESNT WORK.

  47. Bailing out Ireland was a nice thing to do but I think our country should focus on its own debt problems before we try to fix everyone elses.

  48. Bailing eachother out will end up hurting us because once it starts it may never stop. We're going to end up hurting ourselves even if we are helping others
