I think that Obama has the right idea about imposing a bill to help regulate the credit card industry. Many americans have accumulated massive debt due to how many extra charges credit cards have. This should have been in place a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of Americans that have cause a great deal of debt to our country through these credit cards. I think this was a right move for the bill to be imposed. When Americans figure out how to handle their money and how to be smart with using a credit card then we will talk the opposite. Until then I truly do believe that credit cards should be banned.!
ReplyDeleteI believe this bill is a step in the right direction. However, I do not think that the credit card companies should take so much heat for the mistakes of the "reckless" American spenders. It is us, the American citizens, who must be more cautious with how we spend our money.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that this legislation is being put into place. It's bad enough that people put themselves in debt, but when companies are being greeding and putting unexplained fees on the bills, that's not right.

ReplyDeleteI believe this bill will greatly help Americans. With so many Americans in large amounts of debt and credit card companies taking advantage of this, I feel this bill will help create a balance and help get us back on track.
ReplyDeleteI think that Obama has a good idea here. So many Americans are in debt because of their crazy use of credit cards. I agree with Corey when he said that the companies shouldn't take all of the blame for this. All of those people out there who are in debt because they can't handle their money should be blamed. Hopefully this will help our situation! : )
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda sad that Americans spend so much more money than they have that the government actually has to step in. People need to learn how to be more responsible. But finally, maybe something will help and so many families won't be in so much debt due to irresponsibility.
ReplyDeleteIts peoples own fault for not managing their credit cards better and becoming in debt. I think that people need to alot a certain amount of money a month so hey don't go into debt. Even though that this is their own fault, I feel bad because credit card companies are taking huge advantage of people but then again, its not their problem people can't manage money. This bill seems like a good idea and that it will help people all around America.
ReplyDeleteI believe its part our fault too and we should not fully blame the credit card companies. Its our responsibility to manage our expenses. I believe credit cards should be banned though and we will see how everything turns out to be.
ReplyDeletei feel that one main reason we are in this big dept is because of peopple in the united states can not pay back on their credit cards. The bill that obama imposed is great to made people manage their money more better than they already are. So people, lets just find out and see what happens with the bill and how it will hold out.

ReplyDeleteIt's great that we are finally putting limits on things like this. I like to see when a bill will help the American people directly. Responsibility is a big part of credit cards and those who can't handle it do need limits. In the end though it will be the people themselves who need to make the changes.
ReplyDeletethis bill is a pretty good idea. it is good to see that some sort of regulation will be put on credit cards. although we cant blame the credit card companies. credit cards are a great thing, as long as they are not abused. the blame needs to go to the out of control citizen thinking he can buy what ever he wants. it will be interesting to see how this plays out. hopefully ending some idiots dreams of owning a boat.
ReplyDeleteI think girls, especially college ones, owe a lot of debt to our country through credit cards. all you have to do is slide the plastic and sometimes you forget you have to pay it back, or someone does. and i am glad that this bill has been imposed, its a good start.
ReplyDeletephone companies and pretty much any company that bills you tend to give unexplained fees, and its easier to do when you use a credit card. with a credit card i think it is too easy to get in debt and that this bill will help us be well on our way to fixing the problem
ReplyDeleteAmericans need to pay better attention to what they spend money on and how much of it they spend. You should have to take an IQ test before being able to own a credit card.
ReplyDeleteI think that the problem of national credit card debt has gotten way out of control. Basically anyone who even applies for a credit card gets one, regardless of whether they can manage the responsibility or not.
ReplyDeleteI like that he is trying to force credit card companies into using less fine print things in contracts that cause unexpected costs. If you are using their product they should be very clear on the rules and billing of that product.

ReplyDeleteBoth parties are at fault here. The credit card owners for spending much more than they have and thinking that they can just pay it back whenever they want. The credit card companies know how the majority of Americans use their credit cards and they exploit that fact. This bill will offer some regulations that may help the situation at hand.
ReplyDeletei think that the bill should help more with debts then credit cards and debit cards. having actually bills in your hands brings more control on what you spend.however i don't know how good this will work, there are a lot of places that are accepting credit cards more than money sometimes. Also people are becoming lazy its much easier and faster to swipe a card than to count how much money you have on your hands and then to have to wait for a return of change. but looking at the bright side i do believe that this could help with debits a little more.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really good thing Obama did. If not i doubt a lot of people would be able to pay their credit card debt, they would carry it to their grave. Credit cards are kind of pointless, why would we want to spend money we dont have? Thats just asking for trouble.

ReplyDeleteits about time the gov took some action that will help our country for many generations to come. yeah people are sometimes greedy and choose to not pay on their credit cards but the companies shouldnt be able to pinch extra money out of the families trying to make ends meet.
